Thank you, but now I see the necromantic aegis as node. I suppose to be wrong.

What do you think about withering step gem? Could replace phase run?

Hey :)

Thanks for the notice!

It seems that Tinyurl messed up the links as they were very close to each others. Now the online-trees should be identical to PoB links, which were right ones all along.

Hey Mika,

Happy New Year!!!

How are you enjoying Metamorph league so far?

I think it's pretty fun. Not likely to keep me playing as much as Legion did but it's definitely much nicer now that you auto-pickup the monster parts.

As far as the new Metamorphs go and the change to bosses in general you can definitely feel the spike in difficulty. Not so much with the map bosses although I haven't really progressed my Atlas much beyond early red maps atm but you can create some absolutely devastating metamorphs if you are not careful!

If anything this feels a bit like early Betrayal where chaos damage were causing one-shots all over the place. Similarly this league stacking chaos res feels pretty mandatory. I don't really have any space for it on my current setup as the MF items don't come with any but at -19 chaos res and 700 life regen when I die it is nearly always to chaos damage. I can usually tell because even though it happens really fast my ES stays full.

I think nearly all my deaths have been to metamorphs and I'm trying to determine if using blasphemies is actually good this league. Temp chains doesn't seem to do a lot as they are unique monsters and usually you'll load them up with a quick prefix or hex proof and you almost want to stay as far away from them as you possibly can! Temp chains still feels amazing for general mapping as does flesh and stone but definitely less useful for the bosses and metamorphs.

In fact this is exactly the league where my previous golemancer tanks would be amazing. 9 - 11k ES, 2K es regen, CI, 40k armour and 50% block chance with 600 - 700 ES on block would probably mean that most metamorphs wouldn't be able to really do anything to me. I was hoping I might be able to transition my MF golemancer into the "Tank" version as, supposedly being "Bow League", everybody would focus more on life gear. Sadly it feels almost like "Minions League 2.0" after Blight and I'm priced out of all the ES gear I would need to make it work effectively.

Oh well, still quite a lot of fun and at least so far my golems haven't had a metamorph they can't eventually kill off. I may die a few times but they rarely do. The stone golem seems to die occasionally - I might unlink it from feeding frenzy with the other two golems (lightning and chaos) to see if that helps him to survive a bit better. I'm not sure he procs feeding frenzy that much anyway compared to the lightning golem.

I hope you are well Mika and this is the start of a fantastic year for you.

All the best :)

Hello :)

Happy new your also to you and all Poe players!

League is pretty fun, but map progression gets painfully slow when you reach t5. Bosses feel hard and I have interesting 30 seconds to stay alive when minions kills the bosses. Having -% chaos res makes it extra challenging.

Overall curses feel pretty weak against Metas. Might be worth running Spider, all 3x minion effect on jewels and maybe Flesh and Stone over blasphemy.

Havent really lost minions other than zombies to Metas so far. Taking extra regen nodes for minions might still be worth in the long run.

I hope you all the best for the year and I'm waiting for more news about Poe 2 already! ^^

Hi,
I'm running this build now for the second season, thanks for your work!

Short question: Would there be any reason not to use "Storm Burst" instead of "Winter Orb" which I'm missing?
(Playing with 3 Vanguards and 4 Flame Golems at the moments)

cheers
Is this an Elementalist or an Necro build? the name of the buildguide says elementalist, but your guide is for necro.

Thought elementalist was best for golems

It's both.

You can find them both in the "Passives" drop down on the first post.

Hey :)

Winter Orb is used as it auto targets and keeps on shooting after you release the channeling and start kiting the boss.

Storm Burst is also reasonably good alternative, but spreading the EE with it can take some time and EE starts to vanish the second you stop channeling it.

Hi :)

It has both variants for both Ascendancies.

Necro is very cheap to level and has stronger defenses than Elementalist thanks to almost capped block chance and stronger defensive Ascendancy nodes. Necro is easier to level and requires less unique items to get access to high tier maps.

Elementalist gets immunities to most status elements which frees up flask slots. Elementalist gets also access to Pledge of Hands which boosts Flame Golems damage massively. Elementalist also gets decent physical damage reduction and regen thanks to buff from support Golems.

Flame Golems can work with many Ascendancies but it different roles. With Elementalist they are main damage dealers and with Necro they mainly clear trash mobs as Tukohama Vanguard Specters deal most boss damage.

Hi,
thanks mika for the answer.

cheers

First relevant helmet enchant I hit myself since Legacy league. It's not what I was going for originally, but was very happy to see it.
do I need 7x Primordial Harmony?

ps:
I just made a T15 map and my minions do really little harm to the end boss. What can that be? I have exactly the same gear as you, only I don't have Watcher's Eye yet.

You need enough PH to bring Magma Orb (Frome the flame golems) from 6s down to ~2sec or below (animation time). For the 2% regen/ per PH you need to decide on your own how much you need. But with ~10%+ they almost never die.

For the Bosses - do you use Winters Orb with Elemental Equilibrium on them ? Some can have badass fire resists with a large HP pool.

My minions don't die, I myself often die with strong opponents or stronger opponents. ^^ And I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I currently have 1937 Life and 5111 Energy Shield. My Flame Golems have 70622 Life and my Guardian 66505 Life, but that's not the problem, I'm a glass ball. ^^
And yes, I always use Winter Orb + Elemental Equilibrium with strong opponents.
My winter orb is as normal as socketed in the build:

Winter Orb - Cast while Channeling - Desecrate - Flesh Offering
But I don't see a big difference with strong opponents.
If you have time you can have a look in my profile as my gear looks, it is not perfect but it is not bad either.

Sorry for my bad German English: D
