Content Update 2.5.0 Patch Notes

Life does not suffice. ES suffice.

People ask for life buff, so that BOTH life and ES are good? No, people ask for ES nerf, so that both are shit

A miserable-"thinking" mass of guys, hard trying to make this game become more and more miserable. If Poe, basically an intriguing and catching game, is poorer and poorer with the time pass, is EVERY TIME fault of these ****bags that implore to Devs the nerf

It's great to see that you have focused on reviving some old unusable skills to spice up the league a bit. And you really nailed the real problem with this game, that pesky mjolner it was so annoying how that item let you clear maps in 1 minute and made you unable to get one shot.

Pretty good on the whole, I actually like the map mod changes with the exception of -armour/evade just being a really easy mod for the already dominant ES.

Raider changes are super hype, frenzy generation on bosses thank you at last I won't have to ditch slots to frenzy on every raider (and i play alot despite how bad they are)

Blight changes though, Blight needed the biggest buff you've ever given to an ability 35% more damage is not going to even get close to fixing that skill, maybe if it said 35% more damage 50% more area but as it is poison on ED completely invalidates it still.

yeah im so disappointed with Blight changes, i really really wanted to make this skill so i was hoping they fix it becauyse they said they would. but with just 35% more damage.. its still trash maybe still the worse spell in game.. i suggest they just delete it for some time and release it after they make it good.
when patch will be deployed?

The DirectX 9 renderer is still the default. You can change to the DirectX 11 renderer in the options. We will make the DirectX 11 renderer the default once we're sure there are no remaining problems.

So, I'll be unable to play PoE soon. Yeah, really cool.
I am playing BV build (Not Pathfinder).
I didn't had enough currency to buy unique flasks to play with.
Instead I had crafted flasks with Surgeon's Mod.

You lowered hits per second on BV 4 times (from 20 to 5), Gave Master Surgeon 100% as compensation, but what about Surgeon's Mod on Flasks?

5 hits per second = 20% chance = 1 charge per second (if you can get 100% crit chance).
But problem lies that 1 charge NOT FOR EACH FLASK with Surgeon's Mod but ONLY TO 1 OF THEM!

Did you forgot compensate Surgeon's Mod ??? Or from now this is useless mod?
Well, I guess GGG could have put Discharge in the "Channeled" skill category! That would be a real game changer for all these CoC builds.

Everybody is focusing at changes regarding skills - well it's normal to upset players because most people enjoy easy rides.

Anyway I'm just interested the most in one change - to be more specific :

If there won't be an option to turn off shadows or still use directX 9 - it will cause an uproar. Shadows even at lowest quality are destroying game experience (it's not only about visual effects [I simply dislike them] but about performance as well).

No I don't have "weak computer" nor I'm "playing on microwave" just shadows on maps like Sewers (or others with lots of it) when you add to top of that Freezing Shrine, Shrouded Shrine etc can cause spikes. To be more specific the main culprit of spikes are shadows - without them game is working smoothly (only on highest settings I can have some issues).

I can understand how company like GGG want to bring in more people using better graphics. The reason why you guys are doing it is simple - be it streaming or seeing yt videos, screenshots etc you are thinking it will bring more players in. Well there are two sides to it. I used to work for GameForge for some time and I can understand both points of view but getting rid of such an option (be it now or in the future) have some pros and cons.

To be fair :

Pros :

- better graphics can bring in new players looking mostly at game apperance - because game shop is about cosmetics it's understandable to do so
- shadows (whenever you like them or no) just simply suit both story line and theme of game, it simply should look like that
- game graphics are one of the factors on with everyone is evaluating games - thus better graphics = higher notes

Cons :

- many HC players (be it standard or league ones) and streamers are using the lowest settings in order to prevent any kind of accident be it fps drop or simply spikes etc. Many of those players don't think about visuals so much and for them performance is on the first place. Taking away option to turn off shadows or using directx9 client can push away many players - no one fancy playing online game with delays or problems on screen especially when life or death define an end to your game.
- players already playing but with old computers etc. - such a thing can simply backfire and make game to be outside of reach of player base already playing the game - many of them have been spending money in order to support company

Personally I prefer supporting company instead spending cash on newest parts to my computer in order to achieve the highest performance possible in one of few games I'm playing.

Well we will see what time will bring ;)
So is SRS is going to be buried with BV and wormblaster as well or 'this is a buff'? :)
