I'm thinking here for hits that take a tad more then 1/3 or 1/2 of our HP. This is to combat the fact leech is no longer instant. And i want to use it as a crutch until i get better at avoiding damage.

How do you survive with this build in high tiers? I have like 75% evasion and 75% dodge with flasks and slightly below 4000 HP.
Sure, with life rolls on gloves and amu i will be over 4000 HP, but still there are so much hard hitting mobs in T15+ that i RIP 4-5 times a map.

Is there a defense mechanic i oversee or do i just have to move around much more to avoid aoe dmg etc.?

Below 4k HP in T15's is not really easy, you'll be dying on alot of Abyss crack rare monsters.
You should have Vaal Grace with Inc Duration up (Duration = 10 sec) at almost all times and try using a Stibnite Flask for the Smoke (Don't know how it adds with Dodge & Evasion tho).
I got 5200 HP (more investment in HP nodes for a little less damage) and I'm pushing for level 96 with, I think, only two deaths during 93 - 95 20%.

Uhm, no... I want everyone that want's to play the Build, actually learn the Game mechanic's.
Also from my experience, no matter how much i add to the Guide, no matter how much i explain.
I will still get a lot of player's just skipping the Text and Asking me here or ingame.

Without Endurance Charge's, CWDT Immortal Call is not more than a little notifier that you got hit. The Duration without Charge's is way to short to rely on it.
The Only use i see, is to proc. the 50% increased Life recovery Rate from Soul of Arakaali.
Which i'm currently Testing on my Duelist Wander.

I hope that recent struggler's recieved some Help from the Community, i'm still short on time, yet i would like to mention (again) that pretty much every info can be found on Page 1.

Since people started to throw around word's like "Noobtrab" "Old Jewel's are Shit" and other bad choice's of wording, i decieded to not visit my Family today and sit down and update/ clearify some thing's about this Build/Guide.
Thank's to all the People that just point at stuff "do that" "that's wrong" etc. without offering help or simply checking the date and maybe think that hey that dude may have no time atm. #christmas or hey that dude may want to play the game and actually have some fun in his freetime.

Where to start, well i tweaked out the Tree/ Pastebin, this of course will be better with good Abyss Jewel's but shit if not.
Abyss Jewel's sure offer a lot on first sight, but need at least 46 Life to be competitive to a % Life roll on Viridian's.
This will of course Push the Price of those Jewel's up and Limit the availability since there are only a few around.
Since you want 6-8 of those, a price of ~5-9 Ex does add up and all off a sudden a Mirror Tier Wand is not that far away.

Speaking of which, as you are a dedicated Build Guide Follower (or not?) i mentioned in at least one video to upgrade Piscator's at the very very end of Gear Progress!

And even with all socket's beeing replaced by Abyss Jewel's(Top Tier Roll's) a Mirror Tier Wand will still give me 15% More DPS, which is around 700.000 DPS in my Case. This has been tested with various Abyss Jewel's/ Tree's and Gem Setup's.
15% More DPS after you upgraded every other Gear Slot is a pretty good Deal, some pay more for less.

Fun Fact, really good Viridian's can be really Dirt Cheap since no one want's them.
Either way learn to work with Path of Building to make sure that any purchased item will be an Upgrade for your Build.

Would you really not want more than just 5 jewel slots for Abyss? I feel like they are too good to avoid, but I don't know what nodes you would spec out of to pick up more. Any ideas?

Get the mana leech node near essence sap in the skill tree.
