still having so much fun playing this build. most fun ive ever had on this game, so i decided to max out the gear, this is what i currently have:

i played a ton of variations of this build, from the one OP describes, to the max map clear speed vaal power siphon and this is the build i like the most. ive mentioned this before but ill go over some of the decisions i made again in case you guys didnt read that:

my piscator cost me 500c, it compares to a 280edps wand.. which cost a LOT more. i will eventually upgrade, but in my opinion this is the slot where you get the least bang for your buck, so i will upgrade it last. I saw post on reddit a few days ago from a guy that got a 400edps wand that he is putting up for mirroring, so i might eventually just get a copy of that. For now, this wand cant be beat for what it costs.

gloves: love them, using Inc crit strikes over elemental damage with attack skills. slightly lower dps, much faster clear speed because i 1 shot everyhting anyway and herald of ice explosions help a lot clearing. From my testing and calculation they are supoerior to essence of horror gloves in every way (offensively only, but the insane dps boost is just too good)

shield: i kept the lycosidae lol.. i considered replacing it for a rare shield and go full chimp damage on my jewelery by multimodding rings like this:
but i just never got around to it. its probably an upgrade, but just a minor one at the most, and i managed to get my resistances done so i dont really need a shield

jewelery/boots: these are the only rare items i use so it was a bit of a struggle to get the resists i need but it worked out fine so whatever

boot enchant: elemental damage when you havent killed recently is only usefull on shaper and guardians.. which are all easy to kill so i chose to enchant the extra leech.

amulet: biscos, nobrainer. there are crazy rare damage amulets tho, with insane damage for almost nothing (i dont need resists so i can focus on dmg only). at this point i dont even bother even against shaper and guardians, but this is something i recommend if you struggle with bosses.

helmet: i have enough damage, i dont need a rats nest.. i would rather have the 100 life.

still need to get enlighten 4 and most 21 gems but i am broke at the moment, but i feel like i dont really need the damage anyway

if ou guys have any questions, feel free to pm me in game, love the build so id love to talk about it:)

What's your tooltip DPS in hideout without any flasks? Just auras.
350 jeweller fail :P

IGN Standard: HolyPatman
IGN Anarchy: UnholyPatman
Went for this build as my second in the league, worked as a charm.

Really, this build is feels good, is well balanced with high dps and good clearspeed, nice single target damage. So thx for sharing it.

Currently I`m using it for shaper killing and allready I got a Starforge from him :D

However, a word of warning for those considering the build:

This build has, and that is the only negative point I can find, a very bad DPS/Chaos ratio. Since it is very popular items for this build are costly, partially immense costly.

If you go for this build, here some tips from my experience getting this from 1 to 93 with limited budget:

1.) The original build has some GGG / near mirror worthy items. You`ll not need this. Currently I`m sitting at 40K Tooltip DPS for Barrage without flasks in HO, that's more than enough to do all content. Also a rare Wand is not needed, neither culling strike corruption on the wand. I`m doing fine with a Piscator and just link culling strike to your golem for boss fights and all is good.

2.) Learn how to set up a "SUM" search on poe.trade

http://poe.trade/search/nonataratumoon

This one I used when searching for amulets / rings. Put what you MUST have in the first part, then search and sort by sum to see what is in your budget. You`ll surprised that some quite good items for this build are not THAT expensive.

3.) Do the most expensive upgrades last, e.g. the 4 offcolor QotF -> I`m still using a 3B-2G-1R Version, because 3K Chroma is a huge investment of currency. Currency that is normally better used to buy or craft some other stuff before.

4.) Attack Speed is your friend, get as much as you can. Cheapest DPS Boost IMHO, beside flat added damage rolls.

5.) For T16+ bosses I personally did not use a secondary shield, instead I found the good old Orb Of Storm Setup better for me (Orb of Storms + Power Charges on Crit + Curse on Hit + Poachers Mark). Poachers Marks helps a lot to hit the bosses more often, so it seems superior to Assassins Mark in these fights.

6.) Crafting - With all those annulment orbs and ex quite cheap, crafting is a good way to safe a lot of currency. Without crafting some stuff myself I would never brought this build to "endgame ready".

If you want you can take a look at my character ("TheWildestChild") to compare gear.

Hope that helps some people struggling with the build in Harbinger. Keep on it, at the end the build is worth the effort.

I just started leveling this build a few days ago and am almost at the point it's time to upgrade my gear for mapping/bossing and such endgame.

I was wondering how important some gear pieces are in comparison to how much they cost.

I understand that the 6link chest is the most important, followed by dying sun and either a +1 or +2 enchant on the rats nest (both are pretty pricey).

I was just wondering if the lightning pen vinks is comparable to the light dmg added to attacks. Considering one is like 20c and the other is like 230c + . I was thinking of buying the lightning penetration one for now and trying to get rest of my gear first before I dishing out 230c on the better flask if its not as important as my other pieces.

Thanks for any help.

The Penn Vinktar will still help, as it boost your life leach. The Damage Boost is however not that good. If you strive for DPS a simple Atziri with 15% ele roll is better (2c maybe?). If you need that extra "oh shit" button, take the pen Vinktar.

The most important upgrade for me was getting some decent jewels, rings and amulets as well as the +2 Barrage on my Helmet.

Damn, alright yeah I need to look to buy that helm eventually since I only have 25ex or so left and need to buy all my gear still outside the 6link chest.

I figured I'd also just use a cheap piscators without a culling strike, and I'll probably try out the light pen vinktars first then before I eventually upgrade to the attack one then.

I'm not sure if I'll need more damage from Atziri flask yet or not, since the only real complaints I hear from people is the single target being really weak and being squishy. Which both can be fixed by spending and scaling your gear to the higher levels it seems.

I'm looking for a decent dying sun first right now and then the boots with the enchant likely, and thunderfists.

I realize the amulet/rings will be the most important pieces after getting the helmet/dying sun too. I'll have to hold off on the helmet till later though :(

PS: Your characters are private still.
A Devoto +2 is about ~200c, I use that one. A Rats Nets is too expensive for the value added at the moment IMHO. My Chars should be visible now I hope :)
Anyone help me price these please! Also they are for sale ;D

IGN: dbk or BONGSANDTHONGS if you prefer

I think you got the right idea pricing it at 15ex., I woulda estimated 10-15ex.

10ex would be a fair price, but i needed Fire resist xD
