Probably a dumb question, But is this build still shaper viable without skyforths? (currently having to run charisma, and also orb of storms/pcoc for bosses).

Also heard good things about War (makes copy of your weapon as animated weapon).

I like the defensive ones like Spite/Winter too if that is your style

An offensive enchant is good if you're still in the process of building up your dps. Commandment of Fury is a very good offensive enchant that can improve your clear speed.

Once your dps is high enough and fury is having a marginal effect, it's better to shift to a defensive enchant. My preference is to run commandment of spite since it uses your weapon damage. Spite can kill white/blue mobs all around you if you're hit, and leaves chilled ground in its wake to slow down any mobs that aren't killed outright.

Another good defensive enchant is commandment of reflection since the clone can decoy mobs away from you, but I'd frankly prefer to kill/chill the mobs instead of decoying them.

Shaper viability has more to do with your play skill than any piece of gear, provided that you can do enough damage before the floor gets covered with vortexes. You also have the option of generating full power charges via a Jaws of Agony in your second weapon slot. Skyforth is mainly for QoL - it doesn't actually enable anything that you couldn't do in some other (less efficient) way.
