When/if I acquire my acuity and I start respecing into a more tanky (with regen now) tree, should I try for a 6L belly of the beast or go for the brass dome? Basically is the brass dome BiS for the armor tree or belly ?

Edit: To clarify the reason Im going for the gloves isn't because I think they are a must for the build, but simply to step it up a notch since I really enjoy it. I am lvl90 and I want to reduce some of my sporadic deaths in red maps.

I think the only place Acuity is really help is in the Lab where the regen can be a strong boost against the traps. Otherwise, it's mostly a QoL upgrade during regular mapping. Avoiding the Blood Rage degen is nice, but not a necessity.

Brass Dome is strong, but that + Acuity puts a lot of strain on your other gear to make the life/res requirements. Personally I'd stick with Belly. The higher life pool, combined with regen AND instant leech should make you plenty tanky. The only concerns are that point are reflect, or end-game bosses, which are really more about skilled. Switching to Armor isn't going to let you brute force facetank those bosses either.
Well I've made some progress and some failure the last few days.

Positives:

Mapping - This build is truly insane for map clearing speed. I've got so much damage now I don't even bother swapping to conc effect for bosses. I ran a T15 Dark Forest. Rigwald is plenty manageable, but I did a lot of kiting on my Shadow Archer last league. With this build, he died before he finished his intro speech and never even got to turn into wolf form.

Gear - Sitting over 11k tooltip in hideout. I'd still like to upgrade my gloves and amulet at some point, but that could get pretty pricey. Outside of getting Acuity, I don't think there's a whole lot more I can squeeze out of my gear, at least at a cost I can afford.

Minotaur - Ran him a couple times, occasional death due to being bad at this game, but overall pretty easily farmable for me. Got a Brass Dome last night which was neat.

Negatives:

Clearing Speed and Reflect - I move so damn fast I'm usually dead from the Ele reflect mobs before I even realize there was a rare in the group. I hit 90 which was my goal, but every level above just adds to my life pool which would be nice.

Uber Atziri - Failed my first attempt at her last night. Those dang constructs hurt man. Getting some chaos res would probably help a lot there, but I didn't die to anything other than bosses. Couple close calls with the big groups. Did fairly well on Vaals. Took the first down no problem, had the second to 25% but ran out of pots and couldn't outleech/dodge the damage. Pretty clean otherwise. Trio was also decently done. Took out dual-striker first accidentally because he kept tight to the arrow rainer. Took her down second. Took too much chaos degen from the cycloner and died once there. 4 portals left for Atziri.

Midway through the Atziri fight I realized I had intended to use Conc Effect on the Vaals and Atziri, since the range isn't all that helpful here, and the burst damage would be incredibly helpful. Otherwise I just played the fight sloppy. Not avoiding the Flameblasts, dodging other attack mechanics, things like that. Died on the 25% clone spawn. If I hadn't died twice prior to the fight I probably could've finished it. Moreso, if I had skill i could've avoided the obvious deaths, and using conc effect would've reduced the number of attacks I needed to avoid. I'll need to save up for the next attempt, but after 3 total attempts at Uber, I'm starting to get a better feel for the fight. Regular Atziri is just too easy to realistically practice the fight. The mechanics are simple enough, I just need to play smarter.
Reached almost lvl 85 with this build. Feels great, but one thing i've noticed is crazy big blood rage degen + im using whirling blades on blood magic, so sometimes I get to packs with less than half or my life. Is this normal? Compared to OP's degen in videos. OK, he has Atziris for insta leech and no vaal pact. Is that it? Or have I done something wrong. Ty.

I've been struggling a lot with this build at level 87, and I can't seem to see what the problem is. I'm stagnated at about t9 maps where everything seems to just pop me.

am i missing something crucial here or are my issues coming purely from being bad

Yes, that's normal. You can get anywhere from 2% to 5.4% life regen from the tree depending on your pathing. Vaal Pact means you do not regenerate life at all. With Acuity and no Vaal Pact, he's regenerating against the Blood Rage degen. You leech back to full pretty quickly with VP, and you can always pop a pot if you're nearly half health as you approach a pack. With Vaal Pact, this build relies on quick movements from pack to pack to avoid the degen rate.

Yes, life rolls. This build has very little mitigation. A little bit of evasion and dodge, but when we get hit, we're taking a lot of damage. This defense of this build is really strong life leech with Vaal Pact and (ideally) a high life pool.

You highest life roll is 58, and you have no life roll at all on your gloves. I don't know what your budget is, but you really need to reevaluate your gear.

Got a question for anybody who wants to field it.

I just hit 91 and I'm looking into moving into Graceful Assault.

Obligatory gear post:

I would likely have to drop a jewel node to get there, but my plan is to ditch the silver flask and run a diamond in its place. Should be able to keep onslaught up nearly full time (I'd guess as much as with a silver flask) and be able to run the extra crit chance on top of that.

Here's my current passive tree:

Any thoughts on this node as well as whether or not there's a better node to drop other than a jewel slot?

It's definitely not worth dropping any nodes for Graceful Assault. You also really don't need two heal over time flasks. Could just sacrifice a life flask for Diamond and put staunching/heat on it.

Yeah, we had talked about that but it just seems unsettling not having another life flask for some reason.. haha

Gonna drop that last life flask, now I just need to figure out where I'm going on my tree next. Might go pick up those templar elemental damage nodes, any more suggestions? Thanks for the input. :D

Edit: Also while I'm at it, any thoughts on Carcass Jack? The extra AOE seems tasty.

If you need accuracy I recommend the Acuity node near Heartseeker. It's actually worthy for points spent without gear accuracy.

Carcass Jack feels very nice to use, but ultimately we desperately need the life pool and can't give up Belly of the Beast/defensive chest for quality of life/DPS. I bought one myself to test out a week or so ago, linked it, colored it, played around. It was just too scary to use. Lose ~500 life with it on. Sold it for a profit though. So it was worth trying. :P
