[No longer updated] Pizza Sticks: Flameblast Totem Hierophant
For ascendancy, is there any reason not to go chieftain?
Am I overestimate value of totem leech?
" Quick review- Go CI if you aren't already. No need for accuracy rating on gloves I think. Personally I would ditch armor on belt and rely on flasks with 3k+ armor if needed. I have almost 0 armor and clear t15 content easily. Replace ammy too with ES instead of armor. Ditch chaos resistance on all pieces. CI fixes this.
" Thanks for the response. I forgot to add one thing: I like to play mostly self found / self crafted, so the gear is bound to reflect that. I bought the chest piece, the Valyrium ring, the belt (white base, then crafted) and Rumi's Concoction. I also bought Essences of Misery and crafted the dagger (white base I found myself). The rest of the gear I found and crafted myself. - I already made the switch to CI. I suppose I just have to get used to not having Seething flasks for those "Oh shit!" moments (have Vaal Discipline for that). - Gloves were found and crafted, so they're bound to have the odd crap stat, like armour, accuracy, or chaos res. Same for the jewellery. I think I need more ES nodes on the tree, since I'm sitting at only 7k ES (level 88). Last edited by maykay on Jan 13, 2017, 11:43:35 PM

I´m playing this build on a lvl 84 inquisitor and it feels so fucking squshy and i died a few times. i have only 6,2k ES, which is a big problem. i´m thinking about to swap one dagger for a shield. that would bring me ~1,2-1,5k more E but i would lose ~300-400 sheet dps (from 3760 down to 3300). other thought is to skill Zealot Oath for a little permanent ES reg, but i had to waste 4-5 points for that because i need some life reg nodes. not sure if it would be worth. now to my next problem: my totems are so fast dead. too fast. against monster which are shooting projectiles or spells, i´m just fucked. totem's are faster down than they can cast (or i can replace them) and the same applies to me. the only thing i can do is run because my energy shield is nearly instant down if they hit me and most of the time there is coming a wall of projectiles in my face. :D i hope you have some good tips for me and sorry for my not so great english. :P edit: i forgot one question. what do you guys think about a non crit hierophant totem-flameblast build comparaed to the crit inquisitor build? i thinking about to skill elemental overload and using orb of storm + pcoc for a little bit crit and using three totem's so that we have to chance to proc elemental overload with orb of storm's. edit 2: bought a new dagger, gives me a big damage boost. now 4k dps with dagger + shield. fells much better now. hey guys ! So, I have couple questions about the weapons and gems.
Currently, i don't know if I should get 2 scepters, shield and speed casting dagger, dagger + shield or just wand, and if, what gems to use for each of this setups ? Im just kind of confused about all this weapon types If you take a look at my "leveling gear" it's terrible, especially the weapons, and I can't clear the content easily furthermore, is faster casting enough to justify giving up all my spell damage for 2nd totem ? " I use dagger and shield. Clears t16 content easily. Lvl 91. You can use two daggers, but I like a little extra survivability. Get faster cast on as much as you can. It's important. Look at my gear. Not the best, but 8.5+/10 Hope this helps/.
Since it's +110% spell damage/stage, wouldn't it be pretty useless to get more spell damage?
A fully charged flameblast deals 1090% spell damage, having +44% spell damage on a dagger would only add 4% to your DPS. It's just a question, no critique. |

" Thank you so much for your help ! appriciate it
" Flameblast stages add "more spell damage"; affix on dagger is "increased spell damage". If I understand this game correctly, these enter the damage calculation at different stages, so you can't just add them together and say "oh, 44% is just 4% DPS". It doesn't work that way. "More" and "increased" work differently; one is additive, the other is multiplicative.
" Ah right, I didn't realize it was more and not increased, thanks for enlightening me. |
