Haunt, you only showed 2 pieces, but there must be 3 more with chaos res to get the 75% if not having the new T1s. Cast speed was only one of my examples you can lose when picking chaos res, but then you don't have normal resist on those. (And please use some blessed orbs on that ring). My character has good resists on one ring and, I also need 2 offstats on one of the rings and belt, so thats another 2 suffixes, and overall I have barely capped resists that way. Getting good chaos res also affects prefixes as with their rarity there are much fewer available pieces in general.

CI vs LL the bigger downside is the ES loss anyway, and there is a significant difference between 8k ES and 12k ES. As you said not that much in this meta, where dps matters a lot more, but still thats a 1.5x difference in defense, while PA 30% is getting reduced by the pvp formula, depending on the skill, that is probably just a 15-20% actual higher damage, which is important to know. Comparing more dmg vs more damage the pvp reduction plays very similar significance, but more dmg vs more defense the damage is always getting that downside.

To mention there is also BV atm, and beyond these Fireball has good potential too if you dont get sick of the fact that it just copies the bow skills. Still I agree that the majority of the spells are so inferior to these that they don't even come to play.

If i have to take off 1 ring for dream's fragment i put on the rustic belt otherwise iam using

I also have a jewel with 9% chaos resist.

In most situations i use the belt with no chaos except when i'm fighting someone who puts down a lot of chaos damage i will put on the other one to be capped. With the belt without chaos i get around 65% chaos resist wearing rathpith not the rare shield.

I dont see any downsides to having chaos res on my gear besides less overcap.

I also use the rare shield with chaos res against people that dont cast spells, otherwise im using rathpith.

Even if pain attunement doesnt seem like the best option to take, i like the fact that its harder to build than most and i do have a legacy shav that iam not going to sell so.

With all the setups i have PA probably doesnt mean much and it wouldnt matter dps wise with firestorm, but its hard to achieve a good low life build and i can so why not...

In truth once you buy these types of items with chaos res there is no going back, they cost so much and if you go CI they are basically wasted so its all in or nothing, which ive been doing for 3 years already with success.

Lowlife is possible just really hard to do.
