Hi at wich level should i use dead reckoning ?

Whenever you're ready to use skellies, which I would only do if you can add 2x Dead Reckoning and have the Bone Sculptor ascendancy and preferably a 5L setup at least.

I can try later, never recorded anything before but Shadowplay should suffice I think. Right now I can't afford a second Mortal set though, I spent all my currency on the maps and frags for Red Elder and Uber Atziri. I'm pushing towards guardians now, I can probably try and record one of those.

That's alright, Uber Atziri footage would be nice I'll do it myself in hardcore but since it's HC i might rip and would like some footage for that specifically :) Same with Uber Elder which I will also try in hardcore.

Back with another question :)

I am about to do my 3rd lab. I already have "Invoker" and "Bone Sculptor" for my 2 major Ascendency traits.

I have been following this guide for the most part, and I am doing a melee skeletons build. I'm curious though as to what I should pick for this 3 major Ascendancy trait. I am inbetween Puppet Master and Mistress of Sacrifice.

Any suggestions for what the best choices are for me for my 3rd lab trait?

Tyty

As @Aetavicus said, I would strongly recommend spectres as they are complementary to the cons of which ever type of skellies you run with, in your case using Melee Skellies the spectres will make up for the lack of clear speed as SGs are tier 1 clear speed spectres!

Can someone give me a hint how to reach the 1000 strength for the Baron?

Currently i am at ~550. Maybe 50 more from rings and some crafts could push me to ~650. Replace the Ullr boots with Alberons to 750. And then?

Have already the passvive gem with extra 6% strength and dex and reduced int. And the one thats transforming Int to strength (about 100).

Can someone maybe link a char that reached the 1000 strength cap?

Another question: tukuhamas vanguards are currently dying to fast. I have the setup in my gloves. Should i try to get them into my baron to be more tanky?

THX

Hey,

Reaching 1000 strength is not something we are focusing on with this build so you don't have to worry about that :)

Regarding your Tukohama's Vanguard dying:
+ LvLs is nice sure but it only gives them 1% more life and 2% more dmg which is nothing tbh. However, I'd strongly recommend watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRwgILNUEQs and don't forget to read the pinned message below the video!

Basically when you summon your spectres from act 6 you then want to bring them up to the highest lvl possible, like if you're doing maps or running higher campaign areas. Something to keep in mind is this rule:
Which ever lvl is the LOWEST of these 3 will be the lvl of your spectres:
1) Area LvL that you summon them in (can desecrate them in to higher area lvl than act 6 if you bring those spectres in to that area)
2) Desecrate corpse lvl limitation (The higher lvl desecrate the higher lvl of corpses they can summon which is still limited to the area lvl as a max potential lvl)
3) Raise Spectre gem limitation (Similar to Desecrate this gem has a max lvl limitation in the description)

So to repeat myself: THE LOWEST OF THESE 3 WILL BE THE LVL OF YOUR SPECTRES! This is extremely important to keep in mind!
And lastly, you NEED Soul Weaver ascendancy before your spectres become "immortal" even if you do the summoning process properly you'll need this.

generally

this is how you can get str

50 x2 from rings
80 ish from your belt
about 115 from your ammy

40 from your hat
50 from your shield if you really need it
possibly 100 from your gloves if you use meginords to bridge the gap

50 from your chest if you need to bridge gaps

18% increased str from boots

and you can reliably get about 500 base str from the tree if you use 2 efficient training jewels

that should be plenty to get to 1000 atleast . after which its about switching out items for better options

that being said dont go expecting to do a baron AND a spectre build on the cheap. baron builds have pretty strict gear rules.

Are there any good unique flasks that can really help us with survivability or damage? Or minion damage as well?

In general, minion builds can't scale dmg from flasks so you have to use flasks as a defensive gain instead such as Granite/Basalt flasks, utility as in Res flasks / Quicksilver / Silver etc etc

I just completed the last part of the Deadly Encounters Challenge with my Melee Skellies! All in all disregarding my luck in 6-linking my sword, I think I've put about 50c into this character and you can easily disregard the 6link and get a dirt cheap chestpiece as your 6link. I was lucky enough to get a 21 Skellie Gem from one of the ones I was leveling in my offhand (zombies got shafted) so that boosted my damage a bit. As far as bang-for-buck goes, this is the most efficient (and satisfying) character I've ever played. I'll try and get around to recording some rough footage, right now I'm not really comfortable showing myself throwing my corpse at endgame bosses 2 or 3 times (I am a softcore scrubbie after all).

Spoiler

My current gear is all dedicated toward breaking the 1k Strength limit for Baron, but I don't think that's really efficient at all. I will keep the Zombie ascendancy point though, I like the phys-mitigation a lot. Movement was my major issue with this build, not having a fast Shield Charge got me killed several times. You can probably make it work as a bosskiller without the sword, since you have to resummon skellies constantly anyways and their movement speed isn't a factor. The Chayula sword could probably work as a replacement.
Many of you can likely improve upon my character a lot, but I achieved my goal of killing the endgame bosses on a shoestring budget. It is likely Uber Elder capable with better movement and less focus on strength.

Without a doubt :)
I'm very happy you're enjoying the build this much! I've always said that Skellies are among the strongest boss kill minions in the game and when they added 100% hit chance my jaws dropped hard.

Can anyone provide some insight on whether its still necessary to use From Dust jewel with melee skeletons? With its fast base casting speed, you can just cast the non-jewel Summon Skeleton spell twice in less than a second which gives 6 Skeletons as compared to a 5 Skeletons from a single cast of From Dust Summon Skeleton.

Hey,

From Dust is fine to use as a cheaper version over proper Abyssal Jewels which should include Life (if HC) but most importantly: "%min dmg when you've used a min skill recently" which is the #1 mod for the sake of DMG for the skellies.

what items for AG do you recommend?

For Melee skellies we use the generic setup:

Leer Cast
Dying Breath
Victario's Flight
+ some gear that is a matter of taste, my choices are:
Southbound
Ambus charge

For Mage skellies we use the generic boss kill setup:
2x Dyadus
Victario's Flight
+ some gear that is a matter of taste, my choices are:
Southbound
Ambus charge

Minions are similar to spell skills where the lvl of the gem scales the baseline dmg of the ability making lvl 21 gems the most desired lvl unlike attack builds which don't benefit as much from it.

so, in the end, using lvl 21 summon skel with 20%Q should be the best option for dmg.

what do you think about not going str stacking with baron, instead going for +3 minion skill helmet and other general purpose jewel/abyssal jewel with minion life/dmg: is the dmq comparable?
What would be the best unique chest armour for the build?
I know that the rare chests with lots of life are quite beneficial, yet i'd
like to see what other options there are.
I've thought about the Ashrend unique chest but coloring that one would be painful.
Then there is the usual vis mortis for an extra spectre or maybe the one with the
blood offering. By the way, im using melee skellies with solar guards.

And what do you think about using montregul's with the zombie ascendancy so i could have
5 big zombies that do some nice dmg in a 4 link or maybe in the 5 link ring. Surely, my
shield charge would be slower without brightbeak so i'm not sure.
I looked through the pages on the guide, but I can;t figure out how to keep skelly number at 9. Following the tree + Bone sculptor leaves me at 10. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Just take out the Puppet Master node in the tree if you want to have 9 skellies.
It's not like the extra zombie and 16% minion life matter all that much.
isnt it better to have 10 skellies anyway? with echo spell you have to cast summon skellies twice to get the max amount and they will always be mages. am i missing something? i went for invoker - bone sculptor.
