[2.4 updates] Voltaxic Volley Fire Barrage Deadeye -- Well Barrage is now #1 Bow Skill

I love this build! I've been extremely lucky to find a Taste of Hate flask and it covered 100% of everything required for this build :) (even a 5L Cospri's will)

Everything is set (except the +2 arrows on rat's nest) and the build is a ton of fun.

I am sure I am doing something silly, but I am confused how your barrage has such a huge spread. Using mine I only get the very small straight line of arrows..Please help.

The Volley Fire Threshold jewels are likely what you're missing.

Barrage fires 4 arrows in a line (Any "Adds Arrow" effects you have from LMP/GMP/Reach/Corruptions add to this number).

For each Volley Fire Jewel you have activated, four addition arrows are added that are instead shot in a cone. Two with the first arrow in the "Line", and two with the last.

So with the three volley fire jewels activated that the build wants, your Barrage will shoot:

7 (Cone) - 1 (Line) - 1 (Line) - 7 (Cone).

Any additional arrow effects you have will add arrows between the two cones.

It's also recommended to only use Barrage in this build once you have two of the Volley Fire Jewels activated, otherwise it's only good for single target.
elemental reflect is still dangerous even with Voltaxic.
Rolled a map with 15% elemental reflect and the first large group of mobs I shot at my life went down to 20%. Had to play really careful and life just went up and down. Maybe Vaal Pact will solve this. In the end I removed the WED gem and added lightning so basically did the whole map on a 3L :)
You don’t stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing.

Thank you. I misread the bit where it said when to swap from LA. I only have 1. Thank you.

Switching to IR as a few others have suggested on the last few pages helped me a LOT with just this.

At 81 without almost all the offensive nodes from the tree, so mostly defensive points to grab from here on out (the opposite of how I usually play but I wanted to see some dps...)
I have 55% PDR and 3.7k HP on what were mostly budget buys
with my Jade Flask this comes up to 73%
with Enduring Cry this can be another 12% (though I often forget to use this right before a boss fight on the mobs so -cough-), should be enough to cap PDR

My HP is still severely lacking and I really need to gear up though, but the difference between this and when I was evasion is huge for stuff like porcupines and Izaro's (unavoidable phys damage).

hmm this build should do well in reflect and elemental build
Enjoy Legacy!!!!
Hey guys! Great build OP, been really enjoying since I respecced from LA/BR Voltaxic.

I feel I'm wondering if for the supplementary gems if it's best to keep using Vaal Haste + Vaal Clarity (Actually the clarity seems unneeded even with VH up, but I need to test). Would a Spell Totem + Wither combo possibly be more beneficial for bosses? Has anyone tried both setups?

I'm pretty much cruising right now (even without having tried Cospri's so far), and Haste just shreds any boss I've tried (only up to T10 so far), but I'm sure I'll hit some more difficult stuff soon.

Thanks in advance!

Vitality Void and Vaal Pact solves it completely. You're effectively unkillable with those.

Clever use of poe.trade helps a lot here, I got one of them for 1c, the others for 15-20c. The difference between a 6% and a 10% one is pretty large as well btw so keep an eye on that. It's still worth it and make sure you're getting at least 2 before swapping over to barrage.

Personally I got rid of one and dropped down to 2 so I could get a little STR/INT on my third jewel and drop some nodes near Acro as I went IR. Two is plenty, Three is amazing though.

It looks like I've been using Barrage prematurely as I don't even have one yet. What main damage gem setup do you recommend in the meantime?

I'm thinking Lightning Arrow, Increased critical damage, added lightning damage, weapon elemental damage.
I'm using Roth's reach, so I get some chain effects.
