Based on what I've seen Light trap can hit harder, not sure tho with what level of glasscannon. You can scale light trap through spell dmg, but you need bcr on it, not like bear trap, so it kinda evens out there, and then you can put spell crit on light trap where it scales better.

Lapiz, I guess your bear trapper have some hard to obtain BiS gear pieces, thinking of your weapon posted, and there must be some other sweet stuff there too, so one without those would have a bit harder time building bear trap.
