Mechanical Questions Thread

Alright, I write this here because I asked the question somewhere else rather casually while not being aware of how complicated it is. Due to playing a heavily leech reliant character at the moment I took a look at related unique items in the wiki. The one combination that struck me as the most interesting was the combination of "The Retch" and "Crown of the pale king". It's stated in the wiki the the chaos damage from "The Retch" is in fact reflect damage, and so the confusing part started...
Now here's the question: How do those two ineract with each other? Only with vaal pact because "Crown of the pale king" needs the reflect to hit? Or does it straight up give you a 60% increase in the healing from leech? Or doesn't it interact at all?
It would be a fun thing to know, as testing it is both complicated and expensive, so I'm looking forward to the answer!

Even if it worked, What do you think would be so great about it ?
I don't remember saying it would be "great"... but I like weird interactions and it would be weirdly satisfying for me if it would in fact work. Also it'd be a nice damage and healing boost for slayers.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

"Obviously"? I disagree. 'Weapon' implies Attack, and the Bow definitely is a weapon.

I understand weapon implies attack and bow is a weapon. I don't get the intervention. :S ?
Damage over Time is one of four source types, which are all mutually exclusive.
If Bow Damage is inherently Attack Damage, it cannot apply to Damage over Time, such as Poison.

I just wanted to hear more details in case I had missed something. It is indeed fun to ''understand'' mechanics wether or not it is powerful, I did not mean it that way. As far as Retch goes, if Endless hunger is picked, you won't do damage anymore once you reach full life right ? It would resume once you loose life again and that the leech resumes if the duration was still active (providing you don't get Vaal Pact) ?. Hopefully Mark sees all the attention given on this and answers your question in the next wave ! You could then provide a review on how ''great'' it is ;P.

I believe his question was to make sure that when a phys dmg projectile was to hit (applying poison) inside the 100% more dmg radius, that the poison would also be 100% more.

Never thought of the way you saw it Viper as it was too obvious !

Monawoka sorry if you meant to see it that other way, maybe you can confirm if all is good !

I think the wiki says that the damage will continue, despite being on full life. Vaal pact only makes both leech and the damage instant.

Yes, I'm dumb for not checking the wiki on that one ... I was doubtful about it being a LL effect.

Is there a mechanic that allows a player to preemptively reduce the damage of Volatile Blood? My understanding is that Enfeeble would have no effect since there would no longer be an entity to be enfeebled by the time the on-death explosion occurs, is this correct?
Hi GGG
Does the -20% Cold Resistense stack on 1 enemy if i throw e.g. cluster frost bomb traps in?
ty in advance
