I wanted some summoner build to AFK farm my way to lvl 100. My scion golem is not tanky enough to do that sadly. I like the tankiness of my nec very much, but DPS is meh so far. :( Can you give me some hints? Here is my profile:

Don't mind no EE picked and empty jewel sockets, I've just respec'd.

Advancing Fortress? Why exactly is this better than scourge that adds +70%DPS to spectres?

Rathpith Globe? Why exactly is this better than Victario's that gives charges on hit/kill?

Where are your auras? Spell totem ball lightning with GMP? Just, why? That helmet isn't even +2 and doesn't really give you anything other than any other helmet would give with spectre enchant.

Gloves are missing minion damage craft. You also don't use VLT from what I can see, but the biggest question I have is why you wear HH, your summoner doesn't benefit in any way from it.

Bone offering? Why not flesh and benefit from mobility urself? Your spectres shouldnt have trouble surviving. Your mistress of sacrifice is useless here.

Your raise spectre is lvl 18, limiting it to t15 FS, are you using high tier spectres?

You are also running FS, which in my opinion are clear based, on clear based links doing boss on +30% HP map mod.

This is my run with SGs on same map:

Your build just isn't optimized at all.

My first idea was to get max block, regardless if I have rumi's or not as I expected this build to faceroll T11 anyway.

Just like above, ability to have spell block with bisco's. I won't use victario's, because I don't want to get aegis and getting stacks with ball lightning is not an option. Besides, I am currently using ice bite gem (still not sure which gems should I use) and it gives stacks to them minions.

I use MoM so only 1 lvl clarity.

For more AoE EE proc, I cast curses manually.

It has 40% minion damage. Doesn't it work for spectres? It did for golems... At least PoB said so.

Those are totally random ATM.

Never considered using VLT. I use HH on most of my builds. There are not so many options anyway and I don't want to use bisco's, since I will lose stacks after every breach anyway.

Like I said before - max block. I want chill summoner build, which get me to lvl 100 deathless. I am okay with my mobility, but more DPS would be nice.

Just started the build. As you can see, I even use 1 additional spectre gem in my helmet, which should be replaced with something else. I'm leveling as many as I can to get 21 lvl.

But clear speed isn't great either. My scion's golems have waaay more DPS, so I was thinking if it's the case (FS being bad) or can they be similarly good with some adjustments? What makes solar guys better?

Imagine I'm on HC. :P
Victarios give a lot to your spectres in terms of general DPS, same goes for more auras, same goes for flesh offering, VLT, all these things contribute to their general DPS.

Yea it does but anything other than base stats it doesn't really contribute towards anything else. All I said was that you could have anything else in there, even something like Devoto's Devotion for MS/huge dex/IAS with spectres enchant, or anything else that could fit and I don't know about. Personally I use Bone Helmet with +2 and put zombies/AG in there, this way the helmet is more useful imo. Not a huge deal but something to consider I guess.

Rare belt with high hp/good res is good enough imo.

HH has very good HP + dex we lack. Knowing I am already capped anyway, there is no chance I will use rare instead.

Anyway, I am @ hydra now but can't tell which bodies are solar guards. Anyone can guide me? :D It's impossible to distinguish. :(

E: Ok, press A... :D

@Varskar:

Alright, I've read through the discussion here on the thread and here are my comments:

This build guide is designed with hardcore in mind. Dropping auras to run MoM for a build like this is not a stable way to go, you benefit tons from auras, you could specifically run Purity of Fire which allows for better life providing other gear pieces and still be in a very solid state.

Regarding the belt, I've tried both HH, rare belt as well as Bisco's Leash. As nice as Headhunter is, it will never grant you more clear speed for summoner builds over a Bisco's Leash. The rampage buff is insane so is the effects. Sure, the dexterity gain is very favourable but besides a mere attribute piece the Bisco's Leash takes the price, easily.

Scourge Claw gives you tons more damage over Advancing Fortress and if you follow the guide the enemies should very rarely even be near you. This will help you with not just clear speed from your minions DMG output & shield charging but also boss killings.

Also, Frost Sentinels are pretty far behind in terms of efficiency compared to Solar Guards, not just clear wise but specifically vs bosses.

I'd also like to note that your helmet is really nice.

Regarding the shield, if you don't wish to play with Necromantic Aegis making your minions more efficient I would actually recommend using a Lioneye's Remorse for like 180 flat HP instead.

VLT works great for additional boss DPS, and you can go to your settings to have corpse targeting always enabled instead of holding down "A", makes your life easier, trust me! ;)

Why would I take purity if I am already capped? Max res alone is not good enough.

I run spider forest with breaches, would lose rampage too often.

You have to hit to proc it, right? How many hits does it take with no accuracy? How long the buff lasts? How can you proc it without enemies being near you?

I am @ 7,2k HP without two jewels already. I rather have something else than flat life.

I switched to solar guys, damage seems fine enough now. :)

@Varksar:

Purity is mainly for your spectres to not kill themselves if you land in an unfortunate situation of a Vaal Totem and/or a rare enemy with the mod "nearby allies cannot die" and one of the enemies have ele reflect, they can kill themselves rather fast vs that without the purity.

And it helps gearing, to focus more on attributes & actual eHP.

I would still rather take Rampage over HH tbh, even if you only get like 100 stacks every now and then thats still increased dmg & speed, but ultimately that specific topic is a matter of taste.

Yes, you do have to hit to proc it, Shield Charge and/or OoS, this is very comfortable specially when running shaped spider breach maps as the OoS stays and you don't have to think about it as it will continuesly refresh the duration of "recently" which is 4 seconds. Since the build pretty much is able to shield charge from pack to pack you will hit stuffs on the way keeping this buff up, even without OoS.

What other benefits is the Rathpith giving you besides the increased HP? (since you're not running NA which I'd personally recommend, specially if you don't feel the need of the HP gain).
You get a portion of your block chance applied to spells, sure that's nice but only way that will be a noticable effect would be if you use Bone Offering, which literally gimps your performance ten times over and is absolutely not recommended.
Then of course the 25% lightning res.
My opinion on this topic is this:
NA > Remorse > anything else

Glad to hear that the Solar Guards are performing as mentioned! :)

Also to note;
I do promote anyone to play any of my builds in what ever way they prefer, my comments are simply my opinions which are more in lign with my personal playstyle and/or actual efficiency of the build.

I will answer that tomorrow if you don't mind because it's too late now. Just wanted to ask you quickly. Have anyone experienced AG dying due to leaving the game? It just happened to me. Is it me only or it happens from time to time? Should I report it? I can provide video as well.

Never heard of such bug, he does dissapear upon log out, if you then "resummon" him on the ground (not near any weapons) he will return to life with the gear he had when you logged. If that doesn't work you should report it asap!

I have encounter this bug twice already. I dc'ed on a t9 map with my friend inside. My AG is 21/20 with emp 4 minion life and there is no way it will died in a t9 map beside my friend, GC miner.

When i reconnect back, My AG is gone...
