Basically I got my hands on +1 Bones and decided to swap out enfeeble for raise zombie, and put animate guardian instead of it on the helmet.

Zombies lose out on faster attk/fortify/+1, but that isnt important, we know zombies die anyway, and instead we can get animate guardian!

And here's what I use on animate guardian:

33% DPS/10% MS/40% minion MS?

Also because I am running 1 curse only, Whispers of Doom and the tree points required to get it are unnecessary, leaving us with 4 additional points. Now, since I am 96 I had additional 5 points allocated into Melding (15%hp/30%es), but since we now have 4 more free points, I decided to go for Purity of Flesh instead (20%hp/10str/20chaos res):

As you can also see, minion buffs are right along the way as well so those free points get in there, the additional minion points give 15%DPS/29%minion life/1.5% minion reg.

Puppet Master is also 1 point away, I swapped it from one of the points near Death Attunement:

7% minion life/1%hp minion reg
vs
16% minion life/+1 zombie

The minion regen we lose is covered from 1 of the minion points we just allocated (in fact it's now 0.5% higher), as well as get +1 zombie/9% minion life (not bad!)

Tooltip zombies hp: 11.5k
Animate guardian(lvl19) hp: 16.5k


TL:DR
So in conclusion

I swap Enfeeble (47% acc reduce/-30 crit multi/-35 crit chance/-30% DPS)
15%HP/30%ES and 7% minion life/1%hp minion reg

for

20%HP/10str/20chaos res
36% minion life/15% minion DPS/1.5%hp minion reg/+1 zombie
and
animate guardian (33%DPS/10% party MS/40% minion MS)

I think the change is worth it, Im going to be running it for a while to test it and see if I like it more, sorry for the essay :D

Looks very solid imo.
I think for anything at lvl 90+ one should look to minmax the tree a bit as you can do some variations as you saw without any significant loss, which you really can't do in the earlier lvls.



Though... @Karitas is right, if you animate a 2H & a shield (or a 2H & a 1H) the first one will be replaced.

Use the aura items and skip the shield. Also, the Victario's Flight boots is not counted as an aura so it's not scaling from the minions aura efficiency coming from the Dying Breath staff :)

Wow, thanks for letting me know guys, it was late and I was sure this was a 1h lol, yeah the shield will be replaced then :)

Yes I noticed, the Victarios boots work in a small aoe around the Guardian, ending up working only when he's close to you so I'd say 50% of time BUT the small boost to MS at CWDT/convo (even if it is occasional) is still noticeable and nice to have since you gain MS on engagement, something that you want to have :)

I haven't tested it for long, and only t11-t13 yesterday night, but I gotta say it looked solid so far, zombies were dying when guardian was down to maybe 85-90% hp at most, so it sounds promising.

I kinda wish I could put empower/minion life/zombies/guardian together on the helmet (immortal zombies? nice..), but I can't find the space for both CWDT/convo/immo and shield charge/fst attk/fortify if I do that, the only way I could think of was to put flammability curse alone with haste/offering/incr dura, and just curse manually BUT, effectively we lose on EE which is a big DPS boost for spectres, and not entirely convinced I liked the idea.

Thoughts?

Also, are there any other interesting items that the Guardian could wear? I'm not well knowledgeable with uniques yet so not sure if there's anything better out there.

Was thinking if the guardian will end up having life problems, I could swap victarios for kaoms

Guardian is SUPER tanky, so don't worry about him :)

quick question, am I stuck with lvl 58/59 guards until I can get into maps then?

also is spell echo causing me to actually double summon? It looks like I may have summoned something else along side of my guard instead of 2 guards, should i take echo out while summoning them then?

Yeah, you'll have to remove Spell Echo whilst summoning as it doubles that cast as well!
And yes, you are stuck with 58/59 spectres till maps. :)

Follow up quick question. I want to make sure I understand desecrate, it says it spawns corpses that are lvl 20 (lvl 1 desc), does this mean I have to level desecrate up for it to be useful to find spectre corpses? I just don't quite understand the whole spawning corpses thing

Also (sorry more questions :P) how do you keep your zombies alive? I feel like without them being linked to minion health and minion res, they would probably die so often they'd be useless in boss fights. Or is your job in a boss fight using desecrate to just keep remaking them?

Yes, you have to level the desecrate for it to be of any use for you :)

Zombies will die, sadly... They are just there to act as meatshields & keeping you out of harmsway in general. Resummoning is part of your job to keep enemies at bay.
