SmokerHell thanks for the Shaper video! Really gives us confidence to go after this build and believe you can clear ALL CONTENTS with it!
Say_ten I love the physical damage playing style! Really reminds me of combat rogue from World of Warcraft. With crappier gear, the totem and ice golem are extremely valuable. With warlord's mark you can infinite mana lighting strike spam from nearly full screen and let your two minions do the work, dual strike on single targets after you get stacks of endurances. I didn't realize totem can be placed anywhere on the screen, damn it is so strong to pop that right in the middle of a pack of minions! Your build is saving my season, I still have to spend 10 more orbs of regret to match yours exactly. Do you feel Bringer of Rain is outdated as far as builds go? I feel damage is never a problem with this build. You will leech back everything so it is all about being able to survive burst damage. Don't you get more end game power from: 1) 3C Starkonja's Head (I think you can make it 4 linked sockets relatively easily? If not it is as cheap as 4C) 2) 10C generic 6 link chest with 100+ health, 50+ combined resists, some combination of armor/evasion, you can upgrade to Belly of the Beast down the road, damn it is really expensive! Level 18-20 gems with superior quality is just really really powerful. I feel like you can easily match Bringer of Rain's damage with this set up, and get more health/resistance to boot. 1-2 more C for each Touch of Anguish and you have a really amazing starter build at 15C. " Bringer of Rain is not mandatory, but it's a cheap widely available path to gear and you can definitely do most endgame content with it (last league I was doing T14+ and Uber Atziri for example). It also depends how late into a league you are trying to gear up, since it gets cheaper over time generally to get a decent helmet and 6L chest. First week or two of league, may be well out of budget. Regardless, BoR is still fine and can get you into pretty hard endgame content if the rest of your gear is also ok. I hit 90 and didn't consider switching until Shaper and/or Red Elder (could not spawn him in Red maps, really sucked). In current league, I probably won't switch off BoR until 90+ again. So yeah a good 6L chest and Starkonja's is more damage and tankiness, but that's not always available to people starting out. It's much easier to put on BoR so that you can start basic mapping, try to get some currency, and then upgrade later. You can try a 5L chest but I find the damage is a bit worse, although for newer players or people not as experienced with the playstyle they may prefer always wearing a chest regardless of their damage. | |

Did a little switcharoo last night following your suggestions, with some investements of colors, scours, and others, somehow i increased pretty much everything :D the dps on dual strike is way bigger than before and bosses in maps melt mostly in under 10 secs now. Rezists are higher and got a 500 hp increase. But the pieces that really made my char feel powerful again was immortal call and enfeeble, didn't use them before. the things that were killing me most of the times were bursts and they don't happen anymore :D Just wanted to do a big shoutout of thank you for the help. From here i know i just need to farm farm farm for better items, i do have one question, if i manage to get max resists, until i get a BoR, is Rat's nest a good dps increase option? https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Rat%27s_Nest Cheers all! |
