Yea shin can definitely survive scorching ray. I tested with a pretty high damage setup and it took like 3-4 seconds of scorch debuffs before his health even started to move. This was with him standing still (which he would never do normally ofc)

pathfinder, ichimonji, ruby flask with flask effect, +1 max res chest, +1 max res ammy, rise of the phoenix shield, purity of fire, etc...

same thing for vortex when it was op, pathfinder, ichimonji, sapphire flask with flask effect, +1 max res chest, +1 max res ammy, aegis, purity of ice

It didn't really affect him though cause he isn't built around using blood magic

If you're pathfinder you don't even need RotP it's prob better to just use legacy saffells. You can get over 100 res with it. Purity aura +5% max without aura nodes, ruby flask +9%, divination distillate +7%, saffells +5%. That puts us at 101% already and scorching ray can't penetrate (outside of its own debuff).

I have to note that everyone kind of smack talks scold's and zerphis but nobody has been able to figure out what exactly shin is doing, or do it nearly as well. Without blood magic I haven't found a way to get mana cost high enough while still maintaining the tankiness he has. He's using frenzy and getting a mana cost of 250+ while using kaom's and ichinonji (and being as tanky as he is) is basically not possible. Kaoms doesn't let you use a 6L which greatly limits mana cost. Everyone thinks they can do it, but they probably can't.
