Well, you have Amethyst flasks to mitigate that. I guess that poison and bleed are differentiated by the fact that you can't just remove poison stacks. The need for chaos resistance would make the game more interesting.

One thing we can be sure of is it won't be herald of chaos, their herald naming convention is a herald must mention something that comes after, so:
fire is the herald of ash
cold is the herald of ice
lightning is the herald of thunder
chaos is the herald of anarchy

Though, I don't really like 'anarchy' myself, it's also HoA, so maybe Herald of Corruption.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Does poison damage work with existing modifiers like increased projectile damage, general increased damage and the likes? I suppose regardless, 100% increased poison damage is a lot.

Also, what uniques induce poison besides snakebite and bino?

Consuming dark. And based on Rory post physical/chaos damage will power up the poison so than add in Voltaxic and Apep granted we need more details on the skills and such for volt and apep to get good with this patch
