inc aoe does not increase your dps, it makes you hit a larger part of the area, inc.aoe lvl 18 is 1c on poe.trade atm, just buy it and see if it helps you.

Any idea what kind of DPS I should be targeting with a 5L POH? It's unlikely I'll upgrade to a 6L for a while since they are 10ex each.

Currently, I am rolling with about 30K tooltip DPS in town, can get up to 55K or something with full charges.

My DPS is more than enough for solo mapping at level 75, but I still feel like I'll never get anywhere close to 100K with a 5L. Is this true? I know that I still have 6 nodes of global crit and multiplier to get - which will provide a good DPS increase. I plan to get these next as I have been trying to max my survivability lately, finally getting over 3500 life and max resists.

On top of that I am using maligaros, which seems great in this build if you can makeup the resists and life on other pieces. Even with the 70% crit multiplier I have coming with the next 6 talent points, I will still be 50% below your mulitiplier.

I'm in the same boat, I can also reach about 40k (with con effect) and yes I also got some critical strike nodes to get. and also very puzzled on how to get to 200k and I'm also using a 5L PoH and not going to be able to 6L it anytime soon. does the empower really make that huge a difference? as right now, I don't see how 200k is remotely possible. (and most of my gems are 20q quality and level 18. the only gem that isn't quality is faster casting and that still needs to get to level 20.

but still, an awesome build, just not sure how to hit that high a DPS (and also level 86.

a level 19 (was 18) increased AOE has made a lot of difference, so thanks for that. at some point I will probably convert it into a quality gem.

Hey you two,
Your DPS is just great for your level & links. You melt maps with this DPS.

Once your gems will be 20/20, your tree will have its full crit potential and you get your 6L eventually - then you'll reach high dps [and dont forget the DPS shown in the pictures is with atziri flask which adds chaos damage].

so what is your dps without the atziri flask then? just to get a ball point figure in dps?

an inc.aoe gem with 20 quality, will also increase ur area DPS by 10%, very important. and yeah, empower 3-4 makes huuuge diffrence. Also dont bother buying a ready 6l poh for 12ex, you can make 2-3 POHs for that currency, i did 2 pohs with less then 600 fuses 6l, and carcass with 164 fuses 6l. ;)

Hmm I was saving to buy one for the 10ex...but you gave me hope to 6L...did you use mastercraft or just plain old fusing 1 at a time?

Thanks - the build is very fun. I have been leveling flame surge, but never needed it yet lol. I still have many bosses and maps to play though at level 75.

i found a way for you, mate, but sadly i have not got 6l carcass to check this.
you just drop away this odd "added cold gem", put in spell echo, all six in carcass jack, then you use 2 void batteries. For your CoH setup, you just use lightning warp+faster cast+reduced duration, and second links is separately blasphemy+assassin mark+warlord mark.

I have not got spare high-level witch with zero points allocated to check it, but seems this will rocket up your dps without affecting your CoH setup.

that would be one at a time, mastercraft costs 1500 fusings, which is steep to say the least. OH yes, just make sure when you do try to fuse it, make the staff 20 quality, from what I read, it helps with the chance to get a 5 / 6 link.

And thanks for the answers everyone, at least I'm also on the right track. just save up about 700 fusings and fingers crossed!

PS, got another PoH for 20c, and has a higher spell power then what I'm using currently, using that for flame surge, later on, I will attempt to 6L that and use the one I'm currently using for the flame surge setup.

but that will be a while yet.

I only recently realised that my carcass jack setup is wrong, I have 4 blue and 1 red, when it should be 2 red and 3 blue. not sure what to do? either chrono it or try and trade / sell mine and get a 5 link 2 red and 3 blue setup. suggestions?
