Frost Wall

imo being able to put down your own obstructions is fairly OP in most games, and this is no different

throw down a wall and kill things from a distance over the wall, profit

maybe make it so you can't keep a wall down 100% of the time to lock things in place, or make mobs a bit smarter when it comes to the walls / give some abilities they can use over the wall

very amusing to perma wall your friends in a corner though
This spell is exorbitantly op when attached to the totem support gem. That combo definitely needs to be disabled or at least rebalanced (cast speed perhaps?)

Frost Wall totem is 100% survivability on any build, and you can go entirely glass cannon with a nova and do immense amounts of damage without even the chance of getting hit.

Only goatmen and flicker mobs are of any concern, and that's true of any caster.
I don't know if I would say totem support with frost wall would be OP since the DPS is so poor and remote mines no longer allow multiple totems. It is certainly useful though.
I think this skill needs some changes after seeing Kripparian abusing it on his stream like hell. It loses his whole purpose as a tool to wall off part of the enemys temporarily and to fight them later. But he can still dmg all the mobs with his groundslam (just like with shocknova) while mobs are neither able to attack through the wall nor try to walk around it somehow.
This allows for just to greedy play with a glasscannon built or to play with bad gear without risking a lot to get hit, in case you are able to handle the skill correctly which isnt that hard to be honest

It could be changed so you can't attack through the wall anymore, which would be good to focus its purpose back mainly on the defensive and path-blocking side or to make it breakable in some way. Otherwise this skill might end up pretty imbalanced in PvP against characters who just have no ablilities to get around or through the wall fast enough, but time will show more about PvP i guess...(at least the players in PvP should be smarter than the mob

How can you say that? Monsters run away if they can't find a path to you, and if you get any kind of desyncs you'll end up with mobs trapped on your side of the wall killing you before you even realize it.
The only way to do good damage with his build is to trap monsters in a corner because the monsters just walk away if he doesn't. You can abuse frost wall with tons of other skills besides ground slam.
icewall + totem support gem + increased duration
Used on my Marauder with high HP high hp regen and blood magic...

it's an essentially free cast and omg I was laughing my ass off when i tried this!
Daisy chain the totems for perpetual moving tank of frost wall fortress and spam any ability that goes through the wall. In my case, ground slam.

It's not very party friendly but if you want to wall party members away from loot...

It really needs to be an actual wall that stops projectiles from players. As it is, it's essentially a free utility spell that anyone can use. I would like to see a cooldown implemented similar to traps. So many casts over a specified duration as well as make it eat up a percentage of mana ratehr than a small number (Like an aura only it actually uses the mana, not reserve it) say 40-60%?

It does. Only projectiles with piercing (all the cold spells) can pass through it.
