Critical Weakness

So help me out here.

600% crit multy and lvl1 gem with 30% multi.
That translates into (600-100)*1.3 = 650 + 100 = 750total multi?

Multi bonus applies to all crits to cursed mobs or only those 5% rolls?

Yes, you will deal 30% MORE damage on critical hits to cursed normal enemy, and have an additional 5% to deal crit to them (which adds to your own critical strike change, so with 50% critical strike chance it will be 55% total.

With Q20lvl20 curse, you deal 80% MORE damage on critical hit. Your crit multiplier doesnt really matter, you just deal MORE damage on critical hit, that's all.

On champions and bosses curse effect is weaker.

why would it be weaker? also yes the damage is multiplied further.
if 100% crit damage boost from passives and then a 50% from curse's more damage:
damage * [1.5 *(1 +1)] * 1.5 = whatever
Crit Multiplier does matter, a lot. Re-read the Crit Weakness description; it multiplies the extra Damage of a Critical Hit, ie. only the damage on top of your normal hit.

With the base Crit Damage Mult of 150%, CW only affects the extra 50%.

All curses have weaker effect on champions and bosses, that's why!
On magic mobs, curses have 70% effect
On rare mobs, curses have 50% effect
On bosses, curses have 30% effect

I believe, you're wrong. Critical weakness makes enemy take more damage from critical hit, and is pretty same to how other curse - projectile weakness - works. Projectile weakness makes enemy to take more damage from projectiles, not damage bonus, given by "increased projectile damage" modifiers, but TOTAL damage.

If crit weakness affected only those extra 50%, it would mean that 20/20 crit weakness gives just 40% more damage for a generic crit build. It's too weak, and nobody would use it.

Critical Weakness:
"Cursed enemies take x% more extra damage from Critical Strikes"

There is no "extra" in Projectile Weakness' description because it works different from Crit Weakness. Crit Weakness only affects the damage added by a Crit, not your whole hit.

Read the third paragraph if you're still not convinced.

Crit Weakness sucks on a setup with default Crit Mult, yes, but it scales with your Crit Mult, a lot. Also, an extra 9% Chance to Crit is quite good.

Well, that's actually reducing the effectiveness of critical weakness, not a much if your crit damage multiplier is high, though, but still.... For 500% critical damage and 80% critical chance, 20/20 critical weakness will give around 80% more damage.

I was wrong.

Crit weakness is definetely the best DPS curse for anyone going into high crit chance an multyplier. For others, it's useless.
