Great changes, those that need the extra challange can still try the last bosses in merciless, and the newer players will not be put off by the act 4 boss hurdle.

Those warband changes sound just right too!

So you basically saying that game should stop at normal difficulty? maybe remove the skill tree cause its not needed anymore since most people will stop at normal? just pick up a few skills and voila. malachai defeated.

please. there are other arpgs to play with. stop ruining this one too.

A bunch of attacks and damages in a small area doesn't make it a "challange" or "hardcore". Good mechanics do that. All the belly of the beast boss fights are poor mechanics, plus the fight areas are way to small for a full party.

There are already good mechanics in those bosses. the areas are just perfect sized for those boss fights, you don't need a WoW Raid arena to defeat those. get good or die in game. simple.

and if you want better mechanics in those bosses..what about a no portal use when you enter in their area and every boss area? would this be more "challenge" and "hardcore" for most people? i bet!

Really??? The only thing they did when it comes to balancing the game, was to nerf the act4 bosses on normal and cruel. On merciless Malachai is still harder and way more anoying than Atziri (so Chris saying that Act4 merciless should pose a similar challenge as low- and mid-tier maps is totally not true).

And apart from that, all that was crap when they launched the Awakening, is still crap. I mean they still didn't rebalance energy shield or evasion rating in comparison to armour. Life and Mana Leech still suck, same with Reduced Mana, so all the builds they wrecked remain wrecked so far. And if you were able to play 75 maps or higher before the Awakening, well now you still get one-shotted most of the time.

So until they actually release a massive package addressing all those nerfs they did with The Awakening and rebalance monster life and damage ESPECIALLY on merciless (including all the maps), the game remains pretty much broken!

Please increase mid level map drops.
GGG you has few months for beta-testing.
If so great summoner nerf appears after 2 weeks of release, give players another skill tree reset.

It still will disappointing, but fair at least.

Have you actually tried those bosses??? Especially the one with poison is impossible to kill on merciless without at least dying 10 times or so. Pretty much the same with the one with those books and lightning storm because there is no chance in hell to evade their damage due to the area size. So actually the areas are way too small and the bosses deal way too much damage way too fast for that. Challenging means you have to work for the kill, but still having a chance to deal with the damage and get through without getting one-shotted at least 5 times.
What they did in poe is not challenging but plain frustrating!
Wait... Act 4 nerfs were unnecessary, those invisible skill fixes should have been enough. RIP Challenge ;_;
