Most all of these changes make a ton of sense and its obvious to see why those uniques needed a boost.
That said...I am amazed at how real the salt is ITT. People who claim riches and those who cry about not having them, it's like an economics/history class all rolled into one about the 'haves' and 'have nots' and the never-ending battle between the two (battle is a polite word, signifying some dignity wherein there isn't any). To the people claiming riches: first off, don't get too cocky and full of yourselves. you're rich in standard, which is like being king of the hill at a junkyard...its nice for a few hundred yards till there's another pile of shit that's taller than your own. big whoop. secondly, this is virtual wealth we're talking about. it ain't real. absorb this knowledge, breathe it in, exhale. congrats, you have escaped this delusion, please proceed to the next (of your own inevitable making). To the people crying about not having them: it's easy to cry and bitch and moan about things you don't have, while never being able to appreciate what's right in front of you. chasing after the flavor of the day is pretty much the most ephemeral kind of joy that could possibly be found in life; to bother with that in an ARPG that's designed around PvE (and not PvP, so less chances to show off), it's the definition of pitiful. make whatever kind of builds and playstyles you find enjoyable, and stop giving a damn what other people's gear has to do with you (nothing). let them be, and if you wanna join them, fine, slave away after it. but don't complain when the ladder to keep up with the Joneses gets higher and higher and harder to climb up. every dog needs a tail to chase, sometimes its his own. In sum, R-E-L-A-X, as Aaron Rodgers might say. Though I do wish GGG would realize how shitty leech is this patch. For POE Devs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea6UuRTjkKs

" Agree with pretty much everything here. People will always be bitching about stuff like this but it matters 0% in the grand scheme of the game. Path of Exile was not and is not designed around Standard League. It's designed around a cycle of temporary leagues. Standard is nothing more than the garbage disposal of every other softcore or hardcore league that has ever existed, it means virtually nothing.
In 2.0 old Mjolners will change mod 50% to 30% or no ?
|
|
" From the main post with doing a little reading: Please note that, unless otherwise stated, these changes will only occur upon divining an existing item, or upon picking up a new one as of the launch of The Awakening There is no mention under the Mjolner change that it is retroactive, and since there is also no mention that using a Divine Orb will NOT change the original 50%, that means that there will be legacy Mjolners with the 50% proc chance. Only newly dropped Mjolners in 2.0 will have the 30% proc chance, unless for some crazy reason you do use a Divine Orb on a legacy Mjolner after 2.0, in which case it will change the 50% proc to 30%.
" Ty for answer. My english it bad. I read but didnt sure. |

You're welcome. Glad to help. :)

" yeah, but honestly: what purpose in balancing does that serve? OK, let's decrease IIQ/IIR a little. Oh, and let's decrease crit chance before 2.0 only to increase it again some time later aaah, and then there is the 50% chance on Mjölner: yeah, let's mini-nurf that too because we'd like to create a little volatility in the markets.. |
