[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)
Hi,
I am considering this build (Scion DeadEye/Occ version) for 3.0. I have been entertaining an idea of building a poison/chaos ranger build but i think your version has much more to offer. Just wanted to ask if it would still be viable. Thanks in advance! |

" At a first pass, this skill doesn't have any obvious nerfs from the DoT manifesto, and the existing supports do not appear to have been changed either. But at least Conc is factored into the tooltip. Without official patch notes I cannot say for sure what the state of the build will look like in 3.0. However, in the current Beta with a 4L +1/+1 bow the skill still feels pretty smooth. Only level 60 at the moment, but the play and power feels mostly the same for the level. |

Thanks for the prompt response.
i am actually very interested in building a MF build for the 3.0. Now i am thinking i should just buy the supporter pack, get the beta key and start playing around with this build to prep myself for the 3.0. I have gone through few of the 500 some pages of this forum and from what i am understanding as far as leveling is concerned, to continue scaling normally in tree progression until you get first ascendancy and then you re-spec. Correct? |

" You may have missed it, but Dirty Techniques is no longer DoT. Requires reworking to pick up Atrophy. Build's more or less unchanged other than that though, some small differentials between damage and life but it's virtually negligible. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

" Welcome. Leveling is a bit of personal preference. The most common suggestion is to level as a spell caster using a projectile spell. That way the first nodes in the Scion and Duelist areas are still relevant to the build, and you do not have to spend a lot of respec points switching later. I tend to level as a bow build, sharp shot/blast rain. I switch once I have a a few of the chaos/DoT clusters on the tree and a bow for CA. Also the first two ascendancy points don't do much, so I tend to run Cruel lab and then Normal immediately after for the Deadeye node. Edit - Serleth, I did notice that change. Still playing around with my tree in Beta, but as you point out, I don't think it hurt the build much. Last edited by ChronoExile#0033 on Jun 11, 2017, 6:37:30 PM

i just purchased the beta supporter pack!
Wanting to know how i can access the 3.0 tree for this as I just installed the offline skill tree app. |
|
" Right click the 3.0 tree link, "copy link address" and then paste it into the offline planner's tree bar. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

Loving the beta so far...i am progressing with this build currently at lvl 17...i am leveling with Spark and/or Split arrow as its working out ok AOE wise...
not sure if you have covered this but what are the changes to the bandits for this build in 3.0? Kill all? |

" Oak
OR Krait
I chose Krait on my current play though in the beta. However, Oak or Killing All(2 skill points) both sound like they could have a place as decent options. |
|
" I haven't decided what I'll put in the guide yet, but I'll probably settle on Kraityn to help scale the dodge chance and give a bonus to MS. Oak wouldn't be a bad choice either, but the phys mitigation is only 2% so you'd be taking it exclusively because you'd prefer to have life regeneration. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.
