[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

Poeplanner.com's updated for 2.6, or you can use the Offline Tree.

@Flouyd

Damage is good at roughly 400% increased and 6 jewel sockets, just concerned that your ES is going to be a bit low, but the values look alright. You'll probably be running Soul Strike, I'm guessing.

Yes.

Anyone know offhand what build was using Drillneck that was OP enough to justify the nerf?

Concentrated Effect makes the clouds even smaller, and loses 9% damage, too. :(

Reach of the council drops from +4 arrows to +2. Sends another council item to the junk pile.
Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.

That's exactly the numbers I landed on. 400 inc and 6 jewels. With 228 inc ES (with int) I should land roughly between 7 and 8k ES I guess. What I like is that I also somehow get 168 inc EV with dex. So running discipline and grace should be strong.

The Tree also is only 104 points or lvl 80. So a lot of point to fix holes.

[EDIT] In the meantime Path of Building has been updated and I don't even come close to 7k ES more like 6 or 6.5k ...

Hit level 89 and take Unnatural Calm, and get 7% ES on all your jewel sockets you'll hit 9.4k

8.2k without Unnatural Calm.

Yes levels and jewels will make a big difference. I changed the routing a bit to get Melding together with energy from within. but now the tree looks silly considering we are Scion here http://poeurl.com/5z7

Building trees for CA feels weird. 4/5 of the tree is useless somehow

In all honesty.

If you're building CI, go Occultist. You'll probably be lacking in Frenzy charges but it's just the better class for a CI setup. With something like this tree you'll end up with 515% damage and 234% ES, and 106 points spent (82). Take Arcane Focus for another four points and you'll end up with 275% + whatever you get on jewel sockets, which murders your dps output and even with the extra 4 jewel sockets @ 7% each on your other tree, that'd put you at 262%, or 13% behind an Occultist tree, and Occultist still has two more easily accessible jewels.

Only reason this build doesn't take CI is because of the balance I'm trying to go for. MF is largely geared towards newer or casual players in the current state of the game, and CI without a skill that can leech is just a lot harder to play for lesser skilled players. Going life allows you to just pop Seething flasks and bail out of most situations. CI without leech is a lot more mechanic heavy, especially with no stun mitigation.

So much new information. I dont get it. :-(

@serlet and hank

any new ideas for build for next leage? As i understand drillneck is
now garbage. Big problems with cloud because of conc effect and area changes.
I am lost a bit.
