[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

@Piros
Ah, interesting.

Yeah, I imagine it will be based off party leader. If it's all stones active from all people in the party, at once, that'd be OP as shit.

But by the same token I wouldn't be that surprised if they set it like that to encourage more party play. Seems like a big fuck you to solo players though (whether by choice, or forced by the power of their gaming rig).

Spoiler
I see what you're saying... but then a full party could have all 17 mods... 6x3 = 18 after all... imagine if you could duplicate mods tho... (I don't think you can... I think you can use Zana to gain a 4th mod tho obviously)

Imagine Beyond + Beyond + Beyond in a Beyond mod Map with Zana Beyond :D... or somesuch

If they were going to do that, I would hope they would do something like the top/left-most league only... so each player contributes 1 mod... so then 6man would have double the mods of solo... and 4-5 a bit more... then 2man teams would be the weak link tho... unless they did something to compensate... another weird rule... just gets complicated
More 2.6 reply
Yeah that's why I figure it'll be party leader only, or like you say, whoever enters the zone / creates the map.

Makes the most sense.

Either way, there will be some clear economic benefit to be had with this league. Just a matter of selecting the right mods to throw on and swapping out as you get better unique properties.

Sup Serleth, how is everything going?

Hello! =)

@John
It's okay. IRL is messy atm.

Been sinking some time into Overwatch. Lunar New Year event is done so I'll probably be semi-back in PoE preparing for the merge, wrapping up Apexes and the like then maybe getting some more HoWA playtime in, in the unlikely event it's nerfed for 2.6. You?

Additional Economic Thought for 2.6 Legacy Stones
Headhunter and Shavronne's Revelation imho are going to be the most in-demand items for 2.6. Unfortunately the nature of the league itself will mean that these particular items will have less value than normal, but if you're interested in giving yourself a crack at them, either for your own personal use or for spinning the RNG wheel in hopes of making some Phat Profit, I would definitely be running Nemesis and either Anarchy or Onslaught as two of your three stones, at least to start the league when these items will be at their greatest demand.

I would imagine Headhunter, given its extreme rarity in the first place, would still be worth having Nemesis up for (+more Inner Treasure). This should be a permanent staple for all players stone setups, imho, for this reason. I would estimate as the league progresses, Headhunter will probably dip down to roughly the same price as Shavronne's Wrappings, maybe a bit more. Somewhere between 6-15ex.

Revelation, particularly with the new changes coming to it, will likely be a few exalt as well, at least early on, given its build-modifying potential for ES setups.

Personally, I will have Nemesis and Breach up all the time (unless changes come to HoWA), if only for Esh and Xoph farming, and selling Chayula splinters (which may be critical, depending on the challenge lists). The third stone will be a swap stone for me. I'll likely settle on Perandus on a more permanent basis, but will also probably run Invasion just for funsies.

Spoiler
Yeah... I imagine Headhunter farmers keeping Nemesis active at all times... etc...

EDIT:

Spoiler
We posted almost simultaneously... you said my Nemesis thing... and have more experience to talk about Revelation, etc...

Ambush/Onslaught is something to think about... but I agree about Perandus... while leveling it has the potential to give useable uniques early on... and later its just basically free profit... Perandus Manor, etc... altho I guess prices will dip just like they did in 2.2 because people can farm target uniques without Cadiro...

I do like how the league allows anyone to basically run 3 Zana mods for "free"... should make farming whatever challenges easier... just collect at least 1 of each stone... maybe some better rolled ones too... and swap in what you need to farm X challenge... no discussions about 10 coffers costing 150c in Zana mods, etc

EDIT2:
Spoiler
"
Players will have a shot at old, famous items that no longer drop in the regular game, such as Headhunter and Shavronne’s Revelation.
Are you Jason Winter over at MMOBomb?... you seem to have similar ideas about Legacy League :)

Mostly doing nothing at the moment with a bit of Hearthstone and Grim Dawn on the side.

Spoiler
Waiting for the merge for you know what ;) and 2.6 to start the "build." 3.0 is in the summer, so I will start to accumulate more currencies for more builds in 3.0.

@John
Soon™ ;)

If you think of anything you'd like for me to try hunt down for you on the cheap what with the Legacy league economics going to be what they will, lemme know. Once prices settle (and I'm done with my own investment into the league), I'll hook you up.

@Piros
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what they do with the challenges this time around given that basically nothing will be restricted behind Zana at all, like you say. I seriously hope they don't bring back the bullshit "Possess / Identify These Uniques" crap that made shit like an unid Windripper 50ex.

If they do that, this will be the first league in years that I won't go perfect on challenges for. I simply refuse to participate in that again.

Spoiler
Sigh, who am I kidding, I'll do it. ;)

And lol, no, my name is Mike, which possesses precisely zero similar letters as Jason. =)

Funny that we both mentioned the same uniques though. I've only read PCGamer's article.

Spoiler
That doesn't sound fun... Back in Rampage and before, I didn't play end-game much... and didnt push the crazy challenges back in the 8 challenge system... starting in Talisman I really started succeeding in end-game and got 28/32 and then 40/40 with CA MF in Perandus and again in Breach with CA MF and HoWA... but it wasn't until the last few weeks I started feeling "rich"... I think in Perandus I amassed 20-25EX in currency + another 25-50EX maybe in gear and challenges... this league I probably did similar numbers pre-40/40... then proceeded to go from 1500-3500c in currency 4 days between Prophesies and map rushing and selling Strand/t15/t16/etc while running t12-14...

To just dump that all into 1 piece of a challenge would be sad...

SIDE NOTE: I coulda been crazy rich if I'd gotten done with 40/40 sooner and bought all them 38c exalts that are now worth 72c again basically...
