[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

I am extremely, extremely sorry for posting such a nublet question, but - why does everyone collect belts? I have NeverSink's filter and it keeps telling me that belts are useful items, despite being Normal and low-level. In your inventory/stash vid (which was excellent!) you mentioned at one point checking on your belts ("how are my belts doing? my belts are fine" around 9:30) - what are those used for?

Apologies again if this is a stupid question, google has failed me in this so I'm hoping you can help. Thanks!

In my case, in the video, it's about the chaos recipe and how my stock of belts was doing in regards to that.

But higher ilvl good base belts are also good for alcing to try make a profit if you're swimming in alcs.

and some people collect white Leather Belts to either to chance into Headhunter or sell in bulk to others doing so when Nemesis League is available from the Zana map device (lvl 8 this league)...

Right now Im sitting at 15k with 5 frenzy charges up, whereas your guide is showing 25k with 7 charges.

I'm also missing about 100 IIR that I have no idea where to get from. :(

Looks like your characters are set to private, so it's tough for any of us to check through your gear / tree to find the deficiencies.

Looks like your characters are set to private, so it's tough for any of us to check through your gear / tree to find the deficiencies.

Updated response: some of my assumptions were wrong, but I must be missing something... because I also have a 15.5k tooltip, and I only have a 6L +2 bow at the moment, 4 frenzy charges, no empower, and a lvl 20 gem... my main improvement is jewels... all my jewels have at least 2 of the useful +dmg mods for 20-25% dmg and 6-7% life (recently swapped out the last of my all resists +8-10%)... also have 1-2 triple dmg jewels with 30-35% dmg total... they are a bit pricey but a good investment

Back on the topic of IIR, main thing I see is maxing out your Andvarius... I used this search to find ones with at least 75% IIR The idea at the time was if I sort for 69-70% explicit then, I might find a cheaper one that just needs some cheap Blessing Orbs to hit 80-85... looks like most people have dont that for you now and can get an 83% one for 19c...

Chayula breaches really do exist... was clearing out my unID maps when I ran out of corrupt ones this morning and found my first breach in a T1 Arcade... also managed to create an Essence of Delirium... it was a very profitable T1 map... and then it was like once I popped my Chayula cherry it was fair game because I found another in unID Crystal Ore... and managed 7 whole splinters

Also finally got an Uber Lab carry... wasn't nearly as bad as I feared when first running some of them trap-heavy trials... and even the most annoying trials aren't so bad anymore once I stopped crippling my survivability by keeping Blood Rage active unnecessarily with no mobs around...

Only thing holding me back from making a Method 3 Mastercrafted bow now is a week of Catarina rotations... and turning more of my currency into Exalted Orbs... being this slow to reach this point sure makes buying a lvl 3 empower cheap... they're down to 10c at this point

Sorry, I missed this. You posted at exactly the same time I did and it bumped me to the next page.

The guide DPS listed is with CA 21 and Empower 4, which on its own will account for ~4.5k of the dps your missing (three gem levels). The last 4.5k comes from the two frenzy charges and the fact that you have I believe three area damage rolls on your jewels, which will not be reflected on the tooltip (it does impact it, don't worry).

Your tooltip once you have CA 21 and Empower 4 will probably show roughly 23.5k, as a result, but you should be matching me for effective dps with the area damage factored in once you upgrade to 21 & 4

As for the missing IIR, don't forget to go to your character sheet and select the CA skill so that the IIR gem shows up in the misc tab for the IIR.

You're showing 248% IIR without the IIR gem, and and 304% with it. Another gem level and 20% quality will put you to 315%. You're doing fine.
