You may need dual curse to handle that kind of silly regen.
Vulnerability increases damage over time and temporal chains makes time pass more slowly for the mob so in a fixed time span it takes more damage. Plus wither stacking - ideally you'd run circles around the mob so that it remains sort of in the same spot so that wither can stack.

Ice shot effectively creates chilled ground under the mob, slowing its movement and other actions.

In a DPS variant of CA, you can link Ice Shot-Curse on Hit-Vulnerability (or Enfeeble or Temporal Chains)-GMP-Frenzy. You use frenzy for single target for frenzy charges - or in this case you'd alternate between frenzy and ice shot.

thanks a lot. so i will give this a try. I didnd think that i can do both gems in one chest and use the same other gems.

Just wanted to thank you for the detailed guide. I only have 4link +2 bow at the moment but clearing very well up until Tier 9 so far. I did not want to spend a lot of currency on the +2 bow but it was very useful with the tri-res. I am stil leveling the masters for the +3 bow crafting.

I have never played an mf character before and it's super fun. Thanks again!

Your gear looks very nice!

There are several reputable master service providers in Essence Standard/Hardcore - if you don't mind spending about 30c more, one of them can help you craft your 6-link +3 bow so that you don't have to wait for your masters to level - I usually go this route, having someone else craft my bow for a fee.

If you decide to do this, make sure that the person you trust with crafting has a feedback thread posted - read that thread to make sure he or she is reputable; alternatively, ask Serleth or some of the other posters on the thread for the name of the master service provider they used.

I found a guy in act 3 merciless group tableau and he made me the +3 and the leo craft. I asked him if 10c is ok and he was verry happy with it. if you interested i look for his name if i am at home.

I was thinking about finally trying a CA MF build as my league starter after looking at it off and on for about a year, but once again decided to roll something else instead. Then I got really lucky and had a 6 socket 5 link Maraketh drop with +2 bow gems. Needless to say, I'm now leveling a second toon in Essence. LOL. My question is about leveling. Every bow build I've done, and many other types of characters too, I level with lifesprigs or other +gem wands and spells until 40-70 range depending on build before transitioning. This time I want to level as an archer. Don't really have a reason other than I've never done it. Has anyone here leveled as an archer and have suggestions? Currently I'm trying split arrow for trash and burning arrow for single target.

The other advice you've gotten is very good, just one more thing. I've found that if I pop into Global 820 chat and post for help... especially if it's something related to challenges, like a 4 essence mob, I get *lots* of volunteers to help. I've used that for full clear on maps when finding the last monster was hard, and for help with tough mobs or twinned bosses.

That's typically what I do as well.

Leveling with bows is relatively easy. Two options:

* Go the phys route, using the rustic sash recipe until you get Roth's Reach, use that into Death's Harp (and if you want, Death's Opus a few levels later).
* Go the ele route, Storm Cloud all the way (amplifying with auras/heralds, flat damage gems) or switch into Doomfletch then Doomfletch Prism.

With either route, you can L/GMP TShot / LA your way to maps in a 4L, or get a tabula to super ez mode it. The fated versions of the bows aren't necessary, but will buy you extra levels before making the switch, if you so desire.

Blast Rain is probably your best single target option, particularly if you aren't running a tabula.
