Yeah, LGoH only works off of attacks.

As for Culling Strike, unless you get a 6L to also add IIR, it runs counter to one of the goals here, which is MF.

Speaking of Frenzy, what are people running for curse immune maps? Best 2B setup I could find was bit more defensive utility from Cast when Stunned with Artic Breath getting support from GMP already in the link.

Because of the points you sacrifice at the start of the duelist tree. You can't go as deep on the normal tree as you can with shadow.

Also, Fortify's hella overrated. It's good, but it's not THAT good unless you're scaling it with things like armour and endurance charges and a cwdt-immortal call, etc.

Given that you can take Shadow, sacrifice nothing off the tree, and gain a massive multiplicative boost to evasion in addition to flat 5/5 dodge/spell dodge, Trickster's superior in every way.

The thing about Fortify is that unless you have a massive amount of armour and endurance charges, you're still going to get one-shot by the same things that will one-shot an evasion build. Fortify on its own isn't going to save you.

Therefore, it behooves you to simply avoid getting hit in the first place unless you're willing to go full-tilt on defenses, at which point you're sacrificing even more on the tree in lieu of damage and the build slowly wilts.

Trickster's defense is all intuitive. You pass right by Acro for dodge/spell dodge, you're already scaling evasion by being dex-heavy and using grace, etc. so forth.

You are correct, LGoH doesn't work with arctic breath. For the now I've moved down to using only 3 of the links, CWDT - Arctic Breath - GMP, and I'm using the last socket for Clarity.

I already have a LGoH attached to my Frenzy / Curse setup in the chest, not that it seems to make much difference, but it can't hurt AFAIK.

FINALLY the rod trinket is available... normal lab, before the first Izaro phase.

Because every time I make my characters public, especially at the start of a league, people ask why I'm making different decisions than what the guide has. I.e., I start out with Method to the Madness then respec and switch to jewels later in one fell swoop.

Or, "how come your chest isn't 5L'd?" -- because I don't want to.

Or, "what, you're running CA? Then why are you using Orb of Storms?"... --- because I'm levelling.

Or, "why is your VLT not linked with Inc.D?" -- because I'm being lazy.

Etc.

It just ends up being an endless series of questions because I have my own particular way of doing things, and it inexplicably creates problems for people, especially newer players.

So, it's just easier to keep the profile private than have to continually answer the same questions over and over again every league.


Anyway, I'll post my current Perandus gear for you, but I'm telling everybody right now I'm not answering any questions about it. It's the way it is, because I feel like it. :P
