Brand new player - should I just wait to install the updated filter when it comes out for 3.3, or should I install the most recent one now?

If I create/edit a filter with the current version prior to NS's next update, will that time be wasted once he pushes the new update? I ask because I make a lot of changes. Trying to get a head start.
