People always assume you NEED gg gear to even stand a chance, but I've been beaten by dudes on budget gear, and I've seen dudes suck balls using gg gear. Sure it means something, but it's not the whole world.

Also crafting your own gear > buying in LLD. I have gear others would pay hundreds of exalts for, based on the market and what sales I've seen, but it cost me barely 20 to put it all together.

you're taking the price for granted. we started LLD before it was the cool thing to do. When selling a t1 lvl 28 item for 5 chaos was a good deal because alternatively for pvers it went to vendor for 5 alt shards. Now everything with more than 2 t2 mods is priced well over an ex. Budget gear now days is what ur build cost a year ago, that's just the fact of the market atm. LLD is not cheap, its not easy to gear, unfortunately.
