Hey guys, just wondering: Which is the better clarity mod on Watcher's Eye: The % damage taken as mana before life mod, or the % damage taken gain as mana over 4 seconds mod? My gut instinct says the first one, but then again the second one sounds pretty nice, too, especially if you're taken smaller chunks of damage quickly.

Any suggest on next buy? I started Delve league like 3 days ago and already got crazy lucky, found Inpulsa, 6linked it by myself and found exalt orb and few other stuff, so I got around 140 chaos to spend now. But on what? I think I'm lacking some survability and I run out of mana sometimes.

The ele pen is strictly for enemies that have resistance. In path of building you can see a big damage increase if you select "Shaper/Guardian" in the "For Effective DPS" section of Configuration. lvl 21 arc is superior to lvl 20 vaal. Quality on arc doesn't matter.

Level up a bit and get the flask nodes around Alchemist. Set up your flasks correctly. You current have no way to stop bleeding and useless/no affixes on your life/basalt/mana.

Your arcane surge gem is way too high so you're never getting any use out of it. That will help your mana and damage a lot. Read the first line of that gem and look at the mana cost of orb of storms.

I'll let Enki comment on best upgrades for your budget because to be honest I stripped my MF character and bought everything at once. Maybe a high rolled Doryani's or an arc chain helmet.

Have you done your final Uber Lab run? At least Merciless? If so, dump your Elemental Resist support for Totems/Golems, since you don't need it after that.

You shouldn't be running out of mana. Orb of Storms with leech should keep you up at the very least. Get some Mana regen or get an Abyss jewel with +pts to mana until you get a Doryanis or better.

The Assassin's Haste is nice for leveling, but you can dump it for something better.

IMO, don't run the Essence Worm/Wrath until you get a Watcher's Eye with Mana Leech on Wrath - Otherwise, it's likely you WILL run out of mana when spamming arc unless you have ridiculous regen and mana pool. And, of course, your mana will be absorbing damage, too, so it's just not going to be there for you while running Wrath/Clarity and spamming Arc.

Get the Watcher's Eye. Even if it's only got Mana Leech on Wrath with no other complimentary affixes, it will allow you to go full bore with the Essence Ring and Wrath combo - You'll never worry about your mana regen/leech again with that combo unless you're already taking enough damage to kill you. :)

I annuled +8 intellect stat from my sceptre, so it's pretty good now.




Should i come back to paragon of calamity and liege of primordial. I lose about 90k dps, 600 ES(doesn't matter) but gain about 500-600 life/mana (from turining off herald of thunder), ele reflect immune and some spell damage reduction.
But, honestly, i don't have problems with surviveability even with 4900 life and 1866 mana. Yesterday i killed uber elder deathless with more than 15 successfull kills in a row before. Delving at 470+ is not a problem too (except depth 370 Aul, he just oneshots me :D
p.s. to bad that i have an open suffix and not a prefix so i can't craft life leech on my sceptre :(
p.p.s Removing beacon of ruin for paragon of calamity is a bad idea, right?
Update. ok I tested it and it's a terrible idea :D the only moster that explode is the one we killed with our first arc hit
Update2. I tried paragon of calamity once again, but I like DPS build with mastermind of discord and herald of thunder more. You basicly kill your target before it can provide any dangerous situations, 500 hp at that point don't matter as much as 100k dps.
Also i can't agree with "stop at 5 casts per second and focus on the other damage stats". At 5.78 casts per second character feels so snappy, the time between casting arc and starting to move with shield charge is a lot shorter so it's easier to dodge threats.

I just wanted to express my thanks to Enki for the personal replies to my queries. As recommended I've re-worked my flasks and upgraded my 6-link gems to 20% quality. I'll run some maps and see if I can utilize the flasks.

I didn't want anyone to think my slowness in upgrading my flasks was me being unappreciative of the advice.
