Hi Enki, thanks for this awesome build, i really enjoy to play with it.
Anyway, can you give me some tips to boost my DPS for single target? I would love maximise the damage vs bosses.

For example your Arc is still Lv18, just getting it to Lv20 will already give ~ 20% more base damage, which then gets multiplied better by all other small things like quality on your support gems, more damage passives you can pick when being a higher level etc.

What you could do right now is getting an Essence Worm to run Wrath, buy a Tabula Rasa or cheap Energy Shield-based 6L chest and get the right flasks, that would already be a huge improvement.

Do you think it is worth dropping the 7% chance to blind on gloves for a pair of gloves with % block chance, since I bought a shaped helmet that allows me to run 6-link orb storms in the same manner?



Other than that, I've noticed you changed your sceptre to one with elemental damage penetration, is it that much better than this:

Not enki, but I think the wise oak helps big time with the 15% elemental penetration in boss fights.

Btw, how much DPS do you get with orb of storms + flasks?

@BorisTheHamster: Wouldn't say there's any changes needed, you could try to farm one of the helmet enchants but that's about it. Just switch to the setup listed in Uber Elder section and fit in Clarity and the 25% mana regen node at witch start, it's almost unavoidable to have some DoT-ground effects build up and the last thing you want to happen in there is running out of mana.

@Svenux: Tabula Rasa, Essence Worm and the right flasks will be a huge improvement, aswell as switching to the correct gem setups and getting a lower level Arcane Surge, so that you proc it with each cast.

@pit_11: Too expensive for the little benefit it gives, you're better off investing that into a nice rare amulet or a unique with +1 max resistances.

@Rayne186: Flasks and flask nodes mostly, and a different boot enchant.

@babuino720: Grats! With a helmet like that you can definitely try out some other stuff for gloves, block + attack/cast speed elder gloves or what i'm currently trying, Insanity-crafted gloves for faster shield charging.

Sceptre is personal preference, getting lots of penetration will make the build more consistent towards any resistance-increasing mapmods, other than that it should turn out at around the same DPS.

Hey enki, loved your guide. Been having a tab of it opened constantly. This is my first char and it's really helped me out a lot. I've made it to shaper, but I died 11 times, finally killing him on my 12th portal. Is there any better way to survive? Seems I have the same problem a lot of other ppl in the comments do, that single target vs bosses as well, isn't amazing, but for me I care mostly about not dying. Wondering if there was anything I could do to gear up better for end game. I feel like I lack movement speed still (thus the quicksilver flask), and I feel shield charge is a bit clunky slow sometimes. My rings and amulets probably gotta go, but at the same time, I'm trying to juggle resistances for Wise Oak. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

Defeated shaper today, killed him at the very first attempt. He is a heavy hitter but also very predictable. Dodge his energy balls with shield charge, cast a few arcs and then dodge again if he uses the same attack. To avoid the huge energy beam, you can flame dash/shield charge away from the beam area.

He does have a lot of life and it takes a bit longer to kill than The Elder, but it is an easier fight.

@TobynotTobe: There's a few small things you could do. I'd start with getting rid of the CwDt Temporal Chains setup, since you have no source of +1 curse it will just keep overwriting Enfeeble. Switch the Temp Chains gem with Vortex, which will give a similar slow effect but keeps Enfeeble active on top of that.

Next is getting en Eternal Life Flask, that should give you more life/sec which you will notice proves to be helpful in many situations.

For more Shield Charge speed you can remove the mastercraft on your weapon and replace it with Attack Speed, and also dump Lightning Walker and put those points into the last attack/cast speed node and the 25% mana regen at witch start. You can further increase speed by getting the Lightning Golem Buff Effect helmet enchantment, that would require you to craft a new helmet but maybe that would also make balancing for Wise Oak easier.

Last change is replacing Vaal Clarity with a regular one, to my understanding that would give you more uptime on Vaal Arc and with the proposed changes you won't really need Vaal Clarity anyway.
