at what point would you switch to staff use?
lvl 63 arc wizard, clearing general content is no issue, but once I hit boss fight, I've getting killed pretty quick.

Once you hit Jungle Valley maps and can farm your first 5L staff through divination cards there.

But that might not fix your issue, make sure that your resistances are capped, you use a Basalt Flask, got enough life and use Bone Offering for bosses.

yeah, I got a bit before I'll start seeing those maps drop.
I've been working on straightening out resistances and will definitely throw a balast flask in the bar now

Hello, i'm new in the game. I was havin a look to your 'leveling' and i dont really get how u can take clarity and flame dash togheter as well as controlled destruction and faster casting when u got the opportunity to just pick one. Can someone help me? Thanks.

You can buy the other gems from a vendor, in this case Yeena.

New player here, and I can tell that guide is awesome for new players, but i have a question, it isn't best to chhoose elementalist ascendancy best?

I used to run the old Crit Arc build this morphed into to. Great guide as always.

I'm a little confused why the passive tree graphic has us taking an 8% AoE area node rather than an 8% elemental damage node to get to Retribution and Discipline and Training in the Templar area. All our skills that deal damage do so with elemental damage, but only Orb of Storms and the boss-killing skill benefit from the AoE.

@Taiga_asaika: As crazy as it sounds, but Necromancer actually gives us the same/better DPS while also giving us lots of flexibility with Flesh/Bone Offering, and a good amount of all 4 resistances.
All the strong points of Elementalist aren't very relevant for us.

@Parabola01: While it's true that the AoE nodes don't affect all skills, their impact on the single target spells alone is high enough to justify speccing them. The loss of that one 8% ele dmg node isn't very big due to diminishing returns on stacking increased dmg% modifiers.

So i currently have a 19lvl arc with 11k dps.. but seeing other posts in this thread it seems way too low.
