@Riggon: Looks like you barely have any elemental resistances on your gear. While that may work for the first 2-3 acts, you really want to get capped (or close to capped) resistances at 75%, except chaos resistance which doesn't matter much at that point.

I see you've also specced into Mind over Matter already. We don't use it before endgame, during leveling it's better/easier to just reserve the mana for easier cursing.

ok. for me now, better go back to act 5 and grind gear? i have fire resistance 23%, cold, lighting, chaos - 10%. why is red for cold and lightning?

Hi Enki91,
me again, I progressed faster than expected and was able to switch everything to your endgame setup (or at least "something" like your gear).

Gear:
Spoiler

As you can see I was very lucky to 5L my Pledge for only 110 fus. Now - after 100ish jew - I also have my backup Pledge at 6S and try to 6L it.. that will take it's time.

Stats:

Int 336
Str 190
Dex 124

Life 4,1k
ES 300
Mana 2,2k

Fire 93% (155%)
Cold 81% (143%)
Light 113% (225%)

Ball Lightning (120 mana)
4,6k (5,7k)

Arc (84 mana)
16k (19,5k)

Block attacks
30% (64%)

Block spells
15% (66%)

According to your videos, I don't do much wrong in gameplay. I think I still have to learn to threw myself into a mob. First question here: do you usally drink all your three flasks once you encounter an enemy?
And second question: What items should I look for, e.g. your Opal Ring - it's least 25/30c (white). Should I get one and craft (Trans>Alt>Regal>...) it until it get's really good or focus on the 6L, build up more res, try to get hands on better jewels, flip/vaal gems, ...?

Thanks again, it's really fun to play your build!

/edit

I hope it's not presumptuous that I answer Riggon's questions.

@Riggon:

Either you grind for gear or check poe.trade. Not sure how much currency you have, but a 5L is not very expensive: http://poe.trade/search/ubesetosirahor
Just chrome it to your desired colors (I would suggest one green and four blue - no Empower yet).
Get more restistances, you should at least be over the cap to minimize your damage and run two auras with Blasphemy.
You can also check Enki91's leveling guide, it pretty much sums up where you should get/buy more gear.
...

@ubrunner400: Not sure if you meant the approximate DPS, or literally the damage type.

DPS is dependant mostly on your Arcs gem level - a Lv21 Arc + Lv4 Empower setup has almost 50% higher base damage than a Lv20 Arc setup without Empower.
In my own setup, Arc ranges from 124k unbuffed to 253k buffed DPS, which doesn't factor in the possibility of each cast chaining back to that enemy. Note that this is real damage, not tooltip DPS.

If you meant the damage type, it's all lightning spell damage.

@Riggon: In addition to what jochen_wuerfel wrote, i highly recommend you to get a Goldrim.
Your current issue is a huge lack of resistances (red means it's a negative value), and that helmet alone will already give you 30-40% to each ele res in just one gearslot. Kite Shields can also give you up to 12% ele res through their implicit, plus potentially more through any affixes on it - and you won't even have to buy one. Just loot one or buy from vendor, throw an Alch or Essence on it and if it's useful (40+ life & atleast 1x resistance), use it.
If you still aren't capped at 75% on each elemental resistance after these changes, you can still replace any of the weaker slots like your current belt until you're res capped.

On the offensive side, you can get a Lifesprig or Reverberation Rod for your Arc pretty cheap by now, plus the 5L chest jochen_wuerfel mentioned for your Ball Lightning.

Also get a Basalt Flask or Granite Flask, they're pretty essential to survive physical damage bursts.

@jochen_wuerfel: Looks pretty good! I would say just keep mapping for now and build up some currency for any of the bigger upgrades, while throwing any fuses you find onto your Pledge until it's 6L.

I've crafted my Opal Ring myself, took something around 500 alts but i do consider myself really lucky with that outcome. If there's nothing good for a relatively affordable price, i'd recommend just buy a base or farm it through the maps where Opal Rings drop (Maze, Plaza, Scriptorium, Colosseum), and then craft it yourself.

As for flasks, i usually just use my DPS flask on each pack, then Quicksilver to move to the next.
Using Basalt or Topaz only if the enemies i face deal physical/lightning damage and can potentially become dangerous, or i'm tired and just smash all keys in hopes to hit the right one.

How about Voidbringer gloves at 40% increase mana cost, does it fit in the build? or should we stick with Fevered Mind?

Would somewhat work, you'd lose about 100 life with a life jewel compared to an average pair of gloves.
The bigger issue will be resistances, it's just much easier to get a good amount of them on gloves than on jewels. That is, if you can't cap it with the other slots.

I was more curious what the Skill DPS is. Like when you look in the character stats and check the skill. What the DPS is there. So I know how much farther I need it go. I know arc chaining doesn't factor in and I think lightning pen doesn't also.

Thanks!

This is my hideout DPS with no buffs up. Keep in mind i got a Lv21 Arc and Lv4 Empower.

How do you guys get a 6L other than spending the 12exalts for it?

Like have hundreds of fuses and jewellers, but what if you blow through it all and now you're stuck with a 3L?

I just casually throw all my fuses i get through vorici daily deal and mapping on stuff i wanna link.
Only in Standard i specifically buy 1k+ fuses to 6L my collection uniques there once in a while, since there's nothing else left that i desire to spend my currency on in that league.

Been sixlinking something upwards of 80 gearpieces that way so far, they mostly took far below the Vorici cost or market price, a good amount even less than 100 fuses and 3 happened within 1 fuse.

That said, bad RNG can and will happen, and it will discourage you at that time, but the best thing you can do is just keep going - eventually it will be 6L!

My character AlphaBravoCharlie is going along really well
https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Stiwiz/characters profile here.

Im currently running 2 5link and levelling gems in offslots.
Im mapping upwards to 9 currently, just hit mapping 2 days ago so progress is solid. it destroys compared to my Dualstrike assassin.

Where do you think I shall focus my next upgrade? I think maybe my vest, the belt possible. I really love the boots I found yday in a lvl 8 map.

Thank you for a superb build and writeup
