[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

One thing I forgot to note is: Frost Wall saves lives. A LOT OF TIMES!

It may screw you sometimes, but if you're aware you can Blink Arrow away from it and, then, you can kite monster using the wall. I don't have the exact numbers, but I certainly die less since I started running CWTD - IC - Frost Wall.
^^sure men later when i reach home. In mobile i cant post my gears nor open my chracter sheet.

^^about frost wall its 50/50 thing. If you want a full vip buddy get a 20/20 decoy totem learn how to use it and youll be untouchable.
As much as I enjoy archers in PoE, I have to say it's complete crap for Uber Lab :-/
Izaro pretty much one shots you with next to any skill he uses (4k HP here).

You guys have some trick to deal with this? Increase HP pool significantly (no, cannot buy Kaom)?
I do have acro/phase acro and evasion at about 50% value but still, he eventually does hit me once during the 3rd encounter when the room layout is unfortunate. Obviously, I avoid whatever I can avoid, but sometimes you just fail/misslick/whatever once and boom... there goes your 10% and last 10-15 minutes.

The thing about Izaro is that his moves will become quite predictable once we have experience fighting him many many times over. I find that movement speed is very important (150% and above, the more the better) during the fight so that we can do the hit-and-run tactic. To make the fight less fatal, I will kill off all the font's, gargoyles, lieutenant etc when they pop-up, even though it will earn me less treasure keys. (better to be safe than sorry, rite?)

Btw, my league ranger has only 2.5k life, but certain bosses such as Izaro, Hydra and Phoenix is still doable if we are careful and not overly ambitious.

Point blank question
POB doent show because it doesnt have the button to click if your near the mobs or not and yes if your not tanky enough to get close its very risky. Simple trick use a range totem for that -30% damage but if u spawn the totem right in the middle of the mob +50% so after reduction from totem u still gain 20% and your not risking your ranger just the totem. Your choice. I did that before with blast rain before 3.0 powerfull with skirmish and safe but not as fast clear asself casting your skill.

This is a great suggestion for leveling! Something like barrage-PB-PTL-WED or so can help a lot with single target there.

Other than that - Point Blank (keystone) is very good for self-cast once you got some level of gear going. Something like 5k+ Life and some dmg would be helpful because you are going to take some hits in the process.

Yep, doable, but hardly anyhow enjoyable or farmable. You just do that mistake from time to time. Not to mention Izaro specifically tends to kill me with his wave skill offscreen (as I stand pretty far) or even more humiliatingly, he kills me by aiming at my stupid golem so I move, thinking I am the target, and I walk right into that skill. *sigh* sometimes I am really just shit :-D

Haven't been playing archer (or ranged char) for last three maybe four leagues. Gotta get used to it again, back there I only ever died to reflect :)

Thanks for the encouragement though!
Hi guys,
I've been playing this guide and enjoying it greatly.
My character is public and the gear thats final so far is: Bow, Helm, Gloves, Boots and Belt (quiver I will buy a signal fire as soon as i find one not overpriced)

I do have some questions -
Armor - I am confused with all the suggestions i see in the replies here. I was going to get a 5L The Perfect Form as suggested in the guide itself, but I dont see anyone recommending it. Is it not good anymore? (I cant afford a Kaom's unfortunately)
Rings / Amulet - If i look for all the stats suggested the items I find go into the 100+ C price range each, so Im not sure what I should look for to stay in an affordable price range.

In general, I currently have around 220C worth of currency I can spend on all the missing gear and trying to figure out how to split it for all the items.

Any help would be appreciated as I plan to start mapping as soon as I finish the gear and gain a few more levels.

Thanks!

If it's me, my priority will be getting....

1) a rare 6-link body armour with +maximum life and tri-res (around 80c)
2) a signal fire (around 20c)
3) a rat's nest (around 10c)
4) a Lioneye's fall jewel (around 110c)

I know the guide did not recommend lioneye's fall jewel, but in all honesty, i think one must be crazy or insane for not getting it and utilizing the Soul Raker notable passive skill if he can afford to buy it.

The Perfect Form is an excellent armor. It's just that most of us fall for Rat's Nest and Signal fire. Which means we plain and simple need more HP and/or resists. Therefore rare chest can help out with that. If you can grab those stats elsewhere, you can take The Perfect Form anytime; it's great defensive choice (Arctic armour + Phase acro).

The items listed there are kinda "perfect" ones. Obviously, you won't have that right away and myself I often end up using crappy ring only to balance out lack of stats/resists. But that's just fine and you can still rock with that. I'd recommend using rings/amulet to cap yourself, get more HP and any stats (STR/INT) you are missing. Then, if you can afford it, look for another stat on the ring accordingly to the guide.

Recommended: Hatred+CurseHeraldHide

This is my favorite combination and a very potent one. It relies on Hatred + Herald Of Thunder (or Ice).

Hatred provides a very strong damage boost, while also providing defenses - frozen enemies don't move and don't leave corpses, which disarms some of the most dangerious effects, such as "porcupines".

The herald provides a tiny bit of damage, while generating charges and applying curses. I like Herald of Thunder more, because it's also good VS bosses, but it requires fairly high INT and a source of lightning damage - usually lightning arrow and/or physical to lightning.

Link [herald of ice] to [curse on hit][assassin's mark] and [ice bite]
Link [herald of thunder] to [curse on hit][assassin's mark] and [innvervate]

Don't link hatred to anything, unless you have enlighten or mana reservation reduction and want to add another aura/herald.

I'm a bit perplexed by this part of the build. I have linked ice herald to the other 3 gems mentioned, but since herald is not an attack skill, but a buff, how can it trigger the curse on hit gem? Or am I misunderstanding this somehow?
