Tornado shot stage 1 has 100% pierce. The shot that goes out, before it explodes into the aoe of arrows.
that part DOES do damage as well.
Pierce is then still useful, for aoe. as when the aoe arrows are fired, they do not innately pierce. So, firing into a pack of 10, without pierce, and 5 arrows.. Any given one of the pack, may only get hit by 1-3 of the arrows, as arrows are consumed, on the other targets. So, pierce, or chain is then valuable, as it lets the arrows continue to hit other targets.
So yes, for tornado shot, personally I would not get ricochet. I would favor ricochet for iceshot though.
yes with powerful prec, you will have a very high pierce chance, with little investment.
It however is NOT "doubling your dps." The damage from drillneck is additive with other sources of added damage. Such as projectile damage, physical damage, etc.
Parsing your build.
141 proj damage, 183 phys damage with bows, 56 phys, 24 phsy with attacks, 20 chaos.
so, you have +404% damage with phys, 141% with elem, +161% chaos.
Drillneck then would be max +100. (giving 241 %projectile ddamage.)
Giving you, +505% damage with phys, 241%with elem, 261% with chaos.
Actual damage gain would be more like 20% for physical, 70% for elemental.
Crit chance same deal. 100% added crit from powerful prec... is 7.44% on your bow, not doubling your crit or anything.
as to what %powerful prec or drillneck gives. its the value of the arrow fired.
So, drillneck gives +100% damage to stage 1 Tornado shot, no matter what, as its innate 100% pierce, same with seige ballista, etc.
Getting fusings. Vorici t6 master ratio is solid. 20×Orb of Fusing for 64×Jeweller's Orb
3.2 Jewelers per fusing.
Player market looks like 4.5 per average.

I was able to pick up which means I get BOTH mana passives back, essentially giving me 3 free passives at this moment. With 2 levels (level 93) I can get the 5 nodes required to hit the 30% pierce, or next level (92) I can get the 4 required by going along the southern route. Does that 10% matter? Would it still be worthwhile to use Drillneck, PP, these 4-5 nodes but WITHOUT a 6L? I only have 300 Fuses and am nowhere near 1500, and even if I were, I'm not sure this bow is anywhere near good enough to spend that much currency on.
EDIT: I just saw the other posts above me, so you would advise NOT using Drillneck, which means NOT going to any of those pierce nodes, but still using the PP and swapping out of Ricochet to get Endless Munitions? If so, that means I can use those 5 points elsewhere for either more resistances to make swapping to BiS uniques better, or maybe pick up some crit nodes. Each Jewel Socket is minimum 3 tiers away, and even just 2 of 4 good rolls is rare.
Honestly i ran pierce with drillneck before but switched to remove all my pierce since i do like the chain effect more (it seeks out targets rather then just go in straight line)
and if you have pierce it can't chain...

my build currently, had to take a few weird STR nodes to fit my kaoms, gonna try and fix new rings or neck, or maybe jewels

What you guys think about running Vessel of Vinktar? That way, we can remove all leech nodes and it's a nice damage boost ! Would have to give up the "of Adrenaline" suffix on quicksilver flask though. Also gives 50% light resist (+6% max) so that can help sorting out resists on gear

LA with PTL have no phys damage, so #% of phys damage leech as life dont work.
