regarding ascendancy sub classes, what do you think of assassin/champion for phys bow builds?

" Deadeye is pretty weak at scion, because it's just "increased" damage and not "more" like at the original-deadeye-tree. I'd say raider is easily the strongest scion-ranger-version. |

" Can u explain me the difference? So wich class would you suggest. I want good survivalbility and good clear speed. I also want to stack some MF to get currency in the new league. IGN: Lnvoker

@Invoker33: "increased" damage modifiers stack additively. These 30% are similar to damage increase on tree, ie. if you already have 200% increased damage, you will have 230% with the scion deadeye spec. "more" modifier stack multiplicatively. 30% more really means *1.3 on damage, which is a lot (it's on par with a full support gem).
little example: 80% increased projectile damage 130% increased physical damage with bows. 45% more projectile damage with attack from PPAD bow base hit of 350 dmg. without anything, this will result to 350 * (1 + 0.8 + 1.3) * (1 + 0.45) = 1573.25 with scion deadeye: 350 * (1 + 0.8 + 1.3 + 0.3) * (1 + 0.45) = 1725.5 with ranger deadeye/Far Shot: 350 * (1 + 0.8 + 1.3) * (1 + 0.45) * (1 + 0.3) = 2045.225 "Two very valid options. Champion is probably the way to go for HC variant. I'd use Inspirational for the last points for additional movement speed. Okay thanks! So what could you suggest? At the moment my ranger on TSC is having good dmg but he has problems with survivalbility. Want a tough, fast clearing ranger that I can stack some MF on. Wich class would be the best for it? And wich tree would you suggest?

" was actually leaning towards champion for softcore, reason is that im trading roughly 32% more life for ~30% more damage or so. and its kind of easier to get damage from other sources instead (lioneyes vision instead of coil/belly, life/dps/dps jewels are more expensive than dps/dps/dps etc). its a bit overkill for low mapping but you can arguably just neglect life nodes early on in the tree while leveling but i imagine itd be pretty sweet for those nasty vaaled t15 maps etc. about assassin, think has more damage total than the ranger trees? i did the math for a voltaxic rift build assuming youre fighting a boss and it came out to be a good 50% more dps, however the dps ended up being very consistent since near 100% crit and cant say how much better knockback would be Last edited by derrurak#3882 on Feb 28, 2016, 7:16:40 AM

I'm really interested to start of with this bower next season and I've been following the news in this thread as well as the stream from NeverSink yesterday.
As it seems he does not favour deadeye for some reason. Said he would post an update tomorrow here or on reddit. However I'm wondering if it is possible to get a reasonable amount of crit with an ascendancy class like raider which doesn't provide any additional crit from its nodes. |

" Take a look at the ranger-tree i am using atm (works with vaal pact instead of Acuitys as well, played that before and you don't need as pricy stuff like mine), plus raider as subclass with Avatar of Chase and Way of the Poacher. You'll be able to gain 6k+ life this way, which is enough to survive really hard hits up to t15 maps (of course without stuff like double-curse etc.). Avatar of Chase will give a lot of mobility, dps and survivablity. Imho a really good mix of pretty much everything needed. Way of the poacher is sweet cause you don't need blood rage anymore which can be annoying (or suboptimal stuff like blooddance). |

But with the raider class the onslaught effect is nice but it doesnt help vs. bosses for example atziri becouse you have to kill mobs to have the effect. Your tree looks nice but I dont't think this would fit for a new start in a new league since you have super expensive gear. I tought about doing a LA crit & shock build with much crit and mf. Thinking about equipping a windripper for more mf.
This is the build im currently working with. https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwIBm42v6wguAdHtg6JAGY70-ABeoSLTfsSi73p9dZcG7g7-uhmK_MXDOn8rDY2btSSLOdQwfNaKW6-HdoTFD6t29419UUdOKiF2458Wv21sMfoj9j7PN9SNv-dUTP-Gzkp9JpU2PaCfTZK95u0_1CMk_UMxwTNh4p2qVYUwcf_e2sGNfsMzVUtsjKXL3ah07S5Tt7ZaGow2YqxLeAUt0291y4nTOkJ67-pivqdwUmVNvTZfsMpKUUysR8jcwUn-HUd-b56cpIcTdwen1P7IVvq_1VO7fVsqTT8nSsg= IGN: Lnvoker

Deadeye looks more friendly for cheaply geared archers, to get decent damage. And if you want survivability against bosses, just go duelist / champion.
On your tree, the trip to sentinel is just not worth it. If you really want res, get Survivalist instead but honestly, Cloth and Chain should be enough. Leech nodes (read spirit and vitality void) are good too. There's a sensible difference between leech from any attacks and leech from physical attack damage. Ranger builds list: /917964
