[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses
" Vinctar is pointless with Acuity. Literally the only useful thing the flask brings us is instant leech. All it does is make you shocked which in return means you need a grounding roll on another flask. Your Blast Rain setup is kind of bad for a physical bow setup. Instead use BR - CONC - PPAD - FA - ADF - WED. Poison is kind of bad with BR without Voltaxic. 44k TS with PTL and WED setup is insanely low with that bow. I hit 80K Tornado shot with Hatred and Herald of Ash (no golem, frenzy charges, flasks or whatever) with a 360 pdps bow. Yours is 430 and has a higher crit chance. You should easily increase your damage to 110k. My advice: In general you focus to much on WED Switch out Chestpiece or take some resistance nodes in passives. Your amulet and Quiver should be pure dps item slots. Rule of thumb for these 2 items is 0 resistances. That is your goal. Your belt is bad. Replace with a triple res Rustic (Leather is okay to) with high life and room for WED enchant or double res, high hp and WED with room for resist enchant. Those are the items you need to replace first. All your items except the bow / Acuity / Rats Nest are easily replaceable. Passives: Use at least 1 x +30 INT node. Your items are all lacking damage because you are desperately trying to gain resistance and stat points all over the place. Try this instead:

Edit: Consider switching completely out HoT + CoH + Assassins mark. It sucks for Boss fights, Uber Atziri and Curse Immune map mods. Last edited by Frankenberry#0590 on Feb 21, 2016, 6:49:34 PM

I just rolled this bow, I'm curious on what to next. This is my first item I've ever crafted and saw the Merciless and Crit. Any help would be fantastic :). |

Next is regal, you have no other choice.
With a mid roll on flat phys master craft, you will hit around 330 pdps, and about 350 if you chose to craft attack speed. If you hit a shitty prefix, multi mod with flat phys and attack speed or crit multi (up to you, many chose atk speed for raw dps, but I'm still convinced it's the best choice). If you hit a shitty prefix, just master craft with flat phys, maybe multiple times to get a near perfect roll. The remaining prefix isn't spending 2 exalt on multi mod. You will be lucky if you hit a higher tier than master craft on flat phys, crit multi, attack speed or even hybrid % phys damage/accuracy (which isn't available anymore with Tora crafting). Proceed as above to finish your bow, it will just be better than with a shitty regal. Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart... Last edited by Panini_aux_olives#1967 on Feb 21, 2016, 7:57:45 PM

" Switched some stuff around with what I had in my stash. Rustic sashes are ridiculously expensive on standard. My blast rain setup isn't permanent need to get a new chest for puncture trap setup. Last edited by Dstry#0683 on Feb 21, 2016, 8:34:51 PM

I gave up trying to buy & craft a Harbinger bow & crafted this instead.
I have to say it's working OK and was a lot cheaper than a Harbinger. I was wondering if there are any other bow types that can be a good substitute to the ubiquitous Harbinger? |
|
" For crafting? No. For buying? Yes. Just go to poe.trade and search for rare (to avoid uniques) bows with 330+ pdps. Just try to avoid the really fast ones such as thicket bows. They (at least in my opinion) have to low damage per mana point spend. Citadel Bows are quite nice. |

Really struggling :/
Here are my items. Any help in getting to 90? (and yes my cold is 10 below 75 because I am running lower maps right now and want a bit more DPS. when I run tier 10+ I put a weaker dps ring with better cold. My tree is uses 3 points for extra strength and int, but really at a loss on refining my gear :/ Last edited by KCIV#4077 on Feb 22, 2016, 12:22:57 AM

Hi, I would like to know if the harbinger build can overdamage the windripper build in any ways?
I currently have this bow atm that i bought. And i also have a voltaxic that someone gave me. If you were to outdamage a windripper build, what do I really need? I really love the TS build.. thats is why. Thanks alot! |

" A) Replace drillneck with a rare quiver. Drillneck is overrated for TS builds and should not be used. you should replace it with a pure dps setup. No resistance. Haku Life is okay as long as the damage stats are high enough (crit chance, crit multi, WED and possibly attack speed - the first three are the most important ones) B) Replace Amulet for a rare / other talisman with flat phys, crit chance and crit multi. Besides that amulets are a good spot to get +attributes or STR / INT. You can try to search for a talisman but most likely they suck. Buy a rare. C) Use "The Retch" instead of faminefeast OR a rare rustic (leather is also okay) with triple res / high life and room for WED enchant or double res, high life, WED and room for a third resist. D) Replace gloves with Maligaro's OR a better rare. Remember you can enchant attack speed on gloves so find a pair with high life and possibly flat, with a mix of suffixes you want (dual res or 1 res + accuracy) E) Replace boots. Movement > Life > resists. I cannot see you chest, jewels and flask setup. The Retch as a unique is mainly cool if you are using Vinctar or Taste of Hate. It is also useful without them but to have the full effect you want those powerful unique flasks. |

" Hard to say really. Windripper for sure does higher tooltip dps but then again it is pure elemental damage which makes it vulnerable to lightning resist and other map rolls such as elemental equlibrium. Also you are bound to have CoH + Assasins mark setup with windripper, which does not work on curse immune maps. Also you most likely will invest into Vaal Pact, which leads to blood rage being annoying (at least in my opinion). You can no longer use puncture traps Besides I 1-shot packs with split arrow and you 1-shot packs with windripper. Which has the highest clear speed? I do not know. Morale of story: Different build is different. Both have insane damage and clear speed though, so if you want to try out an elemental bow setup just go ahead. Also go buy my GG rolled 6L windripper for 10 ex (talisman) :P |
