I think the "issue" is that the life is leeched only from physical damage, by opposition with vitality void, which leeches from attack damage in general (physical and elemental). So if you have a mixed gear, or not enough physical damage, the 0.4% will be too insignificant to be really noticeable. That's my case anyway.

The Essence Sap cluster is extremely useful for that. Even though I do not have any mana leech on my gear (lvl 64 at the moment), these three nodes give me virtually infinite mana as long as I am attacking something. They allow me to reserve 75% of my mana and not to use any mana flask.
As far as flasks are concerned, I am using a staunching, an instant when on low life, quicksilver, diamond and jade.

2 new bow skills, one is light the other fire. Would you change your tree to adapt fire/light dmg or would you keep it that way

I must say I like to use Blast Rain and then Shrapnel Shoot in the face, it looks like Blast and Shrapnel hit at the same time (Blast "travel" first up and then fall down). Really I have so much fun devastating packs this way :p

Im only in cruel atm tho so dont know how efficient is this skil at later levels with this tree.

had fun with shrapnel shot aswell but it diddnt seem to do dmg anymore in the start of merc
might have been my bow/eq
just felt ts did a lil more

looking forward to test em some more

For physical damage based play and setups the .4% from Blood Drinker alone will not satisfy your leeching in general. You will need to get some more from gears or tree (gears would be better). The old 6% LL on old ammy's equates to 1.2% which along with blood drinker seems to be enough except for reflect maps where you will need to change gems up to survive in general. Just using blood drinker alone IMO will not sustain your LL in overall play. Just my two cents on this ever since they nerfed LL.

im testing the build with frenzy for frenzy charge generation and glast rain for aoe.so far,blast rain seem pretty damn good.its safe again reflect,the multi hit make essance sap amazing (no mana probleme at all) and i find it easier to kite while i aoe.it might be amazing with surgeron flask mods since all hit crit.

i have a BLAST using it so far :) i always played with TS SA LA and IS so a new skill make the build more fun to play.

im also wondering if shrapel shot might not be a viable aoe in end game.the shock effect and 100% peirce seem interesting.

The skill trees appear to be messed up? It is missing links and pathways?
