[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

Hi, i'm back for Split arrow (i love it!)

Ranger level 81.

Full buff with atziri's flask my SA is 46K tooltip... without setup Assassin's mark. :)

Thanks for update!
As a casual noob I'd like to thank you for your build. I wanted to try a different class with more dps and I think this might be the right choice.

However, I do have problems in ranged combat due to the low mana pool. Playing in warbands league atm encountering the different warbands is quite a struggle, especially in Act I. I did try kiting but switched to melee after a while since that worked out better. Also boss fights are not that easy. I admit, it might have to do with my play style in general since I do miss-click often which results in my arrows not hitting any enemies.
Holding Shift while attacking is very important here - I will have to get used to it since I never really used it until now.

My gear really sucks and I had to rely on the few rares I found with other characters so my start wasn't that great. When I went melee, I decided that was not the reason I picked ranger.
But the struggle was real and frustrating. So after some reconsideration I decided to get some additional gems to make life easier.

I now use Flame Totem to tank. It gives some vision on dark maps since every enemy is burning, plus I can focus on the primary targets a lot easier because they are distracted. I'm not surrounded that fast by large groups and I can still kite high HP targets whith additional help.

I picked up Smoke Mine to escape, just in case. Maybe there is a better one idk?

Also Fire Trap gives me a slight advantage since I don't have to click on enemies that often any more due to the dmg taken already.

Maybe you can give me some advice on how to survive with my ranger until I get some decent rares with good stats. But how can I get better gear with HP/evasion/stats faster in order to have higher survivability? And are there any other usefull gems for now until I can buy/use what your build recommends?

With my current gear I am just at 6.6k dps at level 84, with Drillneck etc. Any idea of how to get it higher?

Tree is as the progress guide in OT.

Top 3 thing to get the fastest dps increase: Get Rat's Nest, Maligaro's, and a higher crit bow.
Will require some effort to work out the resists though.

According to the calc each one of those items gives me 900 DPS each. Doesn't seem like much?

Don't think in absulute numbers, but in %. It's almost a 15% damage increase per piece. You're not going to get that much for such cheap cost anywhere else.

Once you get more currency, upgrade the bow to >300pdps >8.5% crit, and then finetune jewelry/belt. Also, get a 6L, but that's gets pretty expensive.

And of course level/quality your gems.

hi,

this guide helped me alot in 1.3.
having some problems in 2.0.
had like 100+ atziri kills w/o any problems and cleared all maps in 1.3. now i tried first time atziri and got killed (lvl 92 ranger) :)
however, i thought it would be a good idea to try out the agressive tree. probably wasnt a good idea cuz my gear sucks.
guess ill go for the defensive one.
having some questions.

i still using my drillneck.
got 4k life atm (i know it is too low).

my TS setup for 1.3. was: TS-GMP-FA-PPAD-PIerce-ICSM

is pierce useless now, because you recommend this TS setup?
TS - GMP - PPAD - FA - PTL - WED

same for the puncture setup i used back in 1.3. remove pierce and go for:
Puncture - PPAD - SP - ICM - FA - WED
OR
Puncture - PPAD - Trap - PointBlank - Trap Damage - SP
as recommended?

not quite sure what to do.

regards

someone?
I am at 9.6k dps on TS and 35% crit chance. Resists are 98/91/81 and 4390 HP. How are people getting over 40k dps on TS and 50+ crit chance? I don't have rats nest or maligaro's yet but taking a look at those items, it seems unlikely that those items would boost my dps so much, how is that possible? What's the catch?

Better bow, a high 350+ pdps Harbinger Bow with 8%+ crit chance, Diamond Rings with WED or Phys Dmg and Crit Multiplier rolled on them, 6L, Quiver with WED, Crit Chance and Crit Multi. Also a Rustic Sash belt with high %phys and WED.

My gear on Warbands:

15.5k SA Chain DPS only with auras.

@anvilgod:

Your bow at just 6% crit
Your chest is just 5L , your gems not lvl 20 & 20% quality
No maligaro's
Your quiver is just not bad

With time and improving these parts, you will get there.

You will need to be patient.
