" ZiggyD made a level 90'ish tornado shot char last league in hardcore if you want to see the build in action by going to his youtube channel. You'll probably have to drop a unique or two and sacrifice some dps stats on jewelry to increase your life pool. |

" If the information in the wiki is correct it's even worse: "Accuracy-dependent attacks make a second accuracy check to confirm the critical strike. If the check fails only a normal hit is dealt. Thus accuracy can play an important role in quantity of critical strikes." http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Critical_Strike#Accuracy With a hit chance of 85% and a crit chance of 55% the crit chance is 0.85 (chance to hit) * 0.55 (chance to crit) * 0.85 (second accuracy roll to confirm crit) = 0,397375 or ~40%. |

Thanks for this build, it let a noob like me build myself up to running higher lvl maps :D I am planning to upgrade my armor from 4 to 5 link and have around 5 ex max to spend in torment. I was wondering if its better to get Daresso's Defiance or a normal tri resist armor, or something else? Also I was wondering if its better to use puncture with trap or normal? Thanks :D
My Current Gear:
Spoiler
Build: Any gear tips would also be helpful as I recently acquired 5 ex I made from running maps :D |

@Godsdragon
Gear: You can change the chest for a 6S5L with ~1500+ evasion one (it helps on higher maps) Diamond rings could raise your dps a lot and help with status ailment (+flat phys and/or weapon elem dmg) Try too have at least one item with lightning dmg to add a shock debuff to your attack (rings/amulet/quiver..) Build: Would do a classical one (more or less vaal pact, depending on your dps/leech%) Last edited by digitalyn#2604 on Mar 18, 2015, 4:30:55 AM

" It is more than viable (even if my ranger just died ^^) You have to get more life nodes, swap or use some leech/ life on hit gems. Bow Rangers can escape most situations, and a good life flask return/refill. |

So far so good on this build in standard. been pretty fun but geting to the point soon where i need to upgrade to the next set of hardware...
Resists aren't there yet and still using the Thief's Torment ring... been bouncing between ice shot and puncture for my secondary shot. both are working good but will have to pick one or the other i suppose... spent most my money on gem quality so far... about 95 chaos... Very enjoyable build. will see how it goes when i get to the maps.
Level 61

Hello everyone, this guide is awesome, even the gameplay is nice.
My only question is: onestly, with end game equip is this build comparable with Low Life builds, like ST or CoC ST? In terms of output dps, safely gameplay and defensive skills. I resumed playing recently after a long quit, I played a ST low life build but really like this guide, so I would choose the best way to invest. Thanks to YOUR and to all those who wish to advise! p.s. and forgive my brutal english... |

Probably. If you really have gg gear, you can aim at 5k+ life, especially with Kaoms, and still have TS well over 50k per arrow (100k per shot is feasible). Kaom's especially can be a very valid choice since you don't really need a single target skill with TS. It is however an issue for your evasion score, and evasion helps against reflect.
If you want to see what can be achieved with high end gear, check precaso's build from 1.2 (not much change on tree,), and consider that TS has 20-25% more tooltip dps than split arrow. Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart... Last edited by Panini_aux_olives#1967 on Mar 20, 2015, 2:55:02 PM
