i agree, anyway you can go through this problem just by making it that when you leave the safe zone, you can't re-enter until you die / you kill some1 maybe, so this will prevent that shit.

Yep, theres options. Would please alot of people I bet and not require a large scale hc cut throat league which is missing the target entirely.

Dueling is part of the puzzle and would work in unison with an open PvP area. Everyone would be hostile to eachother in this zone except when in a party. So if two 2-man parties decide to battle it out in the zone, they can easily and repeatedly.

If so happens some random person joins and begins blindsiding them, they can just head back in to the safe area and use the duel challenge. Then come back out when the random person is in a heated battle and blindside him in turn. :)

Dueling was implemented well but it still has that feeling of disconnect. You don't necessarily talk to the other party because your busy fighting. A zone would be another way to practice that sort of coagulates all the PvPers, allows more of a social aspect, as well as strange battles. (ex. 3 v 2 v 2 v 1 ) Who will be the last man standing!?
Pretty much. PvP will never be successful as long as the social aspects are neglected. We desperately need a PvP mode that facilitates social interaction like Open PvP in Diablo 2. I'd love something along the lines of PvP lobbies, PvP modulators like Unreal Tournament and hostile features for custom balanced teams.
