its funny because I still dont know whether to believe it or not. Feel like I have heard this a couple of times. They never say its 100%, they leave a implied 1% chance that it may not be included but with the past occurrences that 1% seems like 70%. Although their tone is pretty convincing this time ; )
I just want some practice tourneys, no major awards and let us help u balance and debugg it sooner than later. It will build hype and some people who didnt take it seriously might have enough time to find gear for when pvp becomes more serious. " Its just... I dont think dueling will fix anything regarding people trying to queue up for fucking 3vs3 and 6vs6 at all. It will only fix the problem where a friend wants to play pvp with his friend... nothing else. Unless you can use duel mode when you are in a party, and toogle the mode on another party. Dueling is not really going to fix that much at all I think, but yes, it is a cool step that makes PvP more obivious in the game. (New players may not notice pvp at greust.) It might raise PvP popularity, perhaps making it easier to queue up for that nasty 6vs6 ctf that I did not even get to try yet due to this queue stuff. So it might raise PvP popularity, but there is no change to the crappy queue system yet. Anyways this is just my opinion. I like the update... But its kinda meh to me. I will just toogle duel mode on random people in town if Greust doesnt result in a fight... perhaps making them annoyed as hell, and making them complain about duel mode being spammed onto them contantly. (I get very inpatient from waiting in that queue sometimes.) With all this im assuming that dueling just Means to right click a player, and then click "challenge to duel", etc. I might be completely wrong about that though. |

fireskull u nailed it dude. Thats why I am excited, I am going to go to act 1 and spam all the high lvls with my lvl 28 until they accept. I know I wont win them all but it beats sitting in queue all day. I hope there is no lvl restriction so I cant finally get some challenging duels hehe ; )

This wont change much. We need an instance that has open style pvp allowed. Just some place like the Eternal Lab, but obviously bigger. You can enter the instance similar to towns, so you can see whos in and who isn't. Pick which one you want to go to, on enter there can be a safe zone to prevent "wp" griefing so no one cries. You can then enter the pvp zone and re enter the safe zone at will. Think of it like standing at the entrance of the Blood Moor or any other act in Diablo2. Sure you'll have people that run in and out being dumbshits throwing traps or whatever they can also similar to Diablo2. But atleast it prevents on enter instance griefing. This is all we need, we don't need a dedicated cut throat server, we don't need every instance to be open pvp zones. Just ONE instance branched off of the map in some remote shithole so people can pvp eachother without bs involved.

SO SICK! I was afraid dueling was going to be a pointless feature but now if u can do 2v2s and 4v4s and between any lvl range I cannot wait. Great addition!
