Drowning Orbs...the dumbest mechanic ever created

Nearly everything else in the game can be countered but drowning orbs are just "you die" mechanic.

Sure you can avoid or frostblink out of them but take one monster with grasping vines or slowing debuff and you're dead.

The counter is to simply not get sucked in. It's easy, simple, and straightforward.

lmao how people still havent figured out how several of those pinnacle boss skills as "mods" on small map corridors are awful for the layouts on most t17 maps

Because it’s pretty straightforward, there’s really nothing to figure out, really.

Outside of the drowning orbs, you either facetank the other abilities like a chad because your build can actually handle them, or like in pinnacle boss fights, you simply don’t get hit by them in the first place.
Like already said about the drowning orbs, just don’t get sucked in.

Since you’re in control of both your movement and your character’s durability, you’re pretty much the one deciding whether the experience becomes awful or not. Play better or build better, it’s really that simple and already figured out. :)

I just never run eagon maps at all unless I have to for some challenge completion. Not until they remove all the annoying mods, as for Nightmare Maps if I have to complete them with 200% quant or whatever I can just slap in a Stability Scarab and run to the boss then corpse-rush my way to victory because big DPS=good. I love having Cast On Death+Portal in my main gem links lmao

I refuse to do badly-designed content like this. Map mods on those maps either make the game unplayable for your build or don't affect you at all, there is no middle ground and that's the problem. That's not "difficulty", that's just unfun game design. And drowning orbs are the perfect example of a mod that's just unfair and you just have to skip unless your ascendancy is Juggernaut or Trickster.
