GGG cooked with the new map system
" I enjoy completing some low tier layout that I like, and just buying a T16 and slapping it in for endless grind of that layout without having to do anything else. | |
" What isn't better? I mean, the fact that you have freedom to run whatever you want to run. The fact that all maps are your favorite layout. The fact that you can switch between strats on different layouts without farming specific maps first. The fact that a bunch of pre-rolled maps in your device stash can be used for everything - without having to access your stash every minute to get specific ones. Voidstones are better - and the progression towards them is better. The ONLY thing I can think of that isn't better, is that you have to unlock access to a bunch of content you didn't need to before. That's not a big deal, though - for me. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

It was a great idea. I feels like it's 50% done. I am shade blind and it's horrible for me to see the atlas layout. I still can't find how to even run the elder maps.

And if you want mods you need something else (new) to make that map magic, rare, corrupted or special. |

I agree with the OP.
Ever since the atlas was introduced, it was just a blob of lines all over the place, and had nothing to do with what actually happens, as far as I could tell. Now it makes sense, you can see what those connection actually do. |

Sure but a lot of improvements to be done:
- stop blinking every unique map slot in blue, let us turn it off - stop closing the map slot when we move the map one bit, keep it open!? - make a stronger visual fixed connection, a glowing rotating highlight frame around the map slot that we last clicked / used! everything just keeps disappearing so fast on any action it's so annoying trying to keep track or memorising anything, move map to read something better, oh shit map slot closed itself, where was i, what map area did i try to work on/read/look at?? can you keep shit OPEN till we change or close it ?? - alt ctrl shift any combination + right click on a map in your bag should make all the map slots of that tier BLINK in blue. I don't know wtf devs been smoking to miss all these obvious OBVIOUS things that should've been fixed before prepatch. Gonna post a kalgur ui fix soon, that shit pisses me off too so much. GGG weakest game has always been ui issues. |
