Unable to launch - steam

Game crashed to desktop with no error, tried to launch on steam and it didn't, steam was stuck in "launching". Full restart and same problem, doing a file integrity check now. Help?


Will update/remove if the file check fixes the issue, again no error message to go off.

Is this PoE 1 or PoE 2?

File integrity didn't resolve the issue. I found the log and it mentions a deadlock error that caused the crash, anyone know how to resolve?

E: After another shutdown then a clean launch it's working, deadlock error is super weird, been a lot of ctds this league :s

Still having launching errors, it works then crashes again and back to the same loop. Watching a streamer whos having the same issue right now, don't think he's realized either what the problem is.

The next time this happens, without re-opening the game client could you find your LatestClient.txt file and post a link to it on Pastebin?

Yeah, nothing in that log jumps out at me as being obviously connected.

As an aside - could you try specifically updating the driver for your video card? I only ask as the current version of GGG's proprietary game engine appears to be incredibly... picky in that regard. At present it appears to have compatibility issues with just about every version of every driver - but some driver versions certainly have it worse than others.

As i said the other log has the deadlock error, it seems to be a ggg server/gateway issue, though idk how that makes sense. They have had this issue before.

"Deadlock detected" is GPU related, it has nothing to do with server/gateway issues.
