In-game price checking QOL
|
Hope it becomes a thing in 3.28, would really help me with knowing how much random items sell for instead of posting for X divines, lowering then eventually vendoring them. No I don't want to use some weird 3rd party software to check items, I want it to be part of the in-game default UI when you press / to open asynch trade.
Faustus already tells you how much your stackable currency stuff sells for, just need some kind of UI element that does the same for gear etc. Maybe ctrl+c and ctrl+v the item into it and it spits out similar ones already posted/recently sold. Would be very easy to do for uniques, and a bit harder for rares. But I really hope we get it soon, because my main source of currency atm is selling my scarabs and other bubblegum currency being converted to chaos with Faustus, along with the occasional lucky drop LMAO That is all. i also want this ingame, but what you have just suggested is exactly what all those 3rd party addons are doing xd
if anything poe and those addons should partner up. |

What is weird on using third party addons? So many games using them. Just use awakened poe trade if you are not doing it until now - ctrl + alt + D and you can price check items easily. Plus it has few other nice features too. Filterblade is also third party addon, isn't it?
You don't need anything else, but these two are mandatory. Last edited by BadAssTom#2893 on Feb 20, 2026, 2:27:40 AM

Not really.
Considering we have an in-game trade window now, you could just add a function that "checks similar items". For example, let's say you have a pair of boots with T2 rolls. A function like that would just input all the stats your item has with a specific range of those T2 rolls into the trade and you just "search" for them. Easy enough. With items that have specific rolls, e.g. forbidden flame/flesh jewels, a function like that could just autofill the modifier on your jewel and search for it. It's definitely doable with the current tech. We miss you, bald man. Last edited by Ydoum#5726 on Feb 20, 2026, 4:44:12 AM

" Exactly, I just want it to be all in-game instead of having to run a 3rd party software. Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

" Yeah, ok. But this is exactly what awakened poe trade offers - you see all mods and you can easily adjust rolls. Simple. Forbidden flame does have modifier filled and so on. While it could be in game from ggg currently it is not. And right now you can get this exact functionality from awakened poe trade, so just download it. Sounds like you don't have it. |

" I already said I don't use it. That's why I'm asking for it to be part of the base game lol Until then I'm gonna keep posting items for weird prices and self-scamming, or vendoring them if they don't sell in 1 hour. A game shouldn't need random addons to be playable. Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

" Ok, gl with that. Not sure what else to say to this. xD Game doesn't need random addons to be playable - you are example of that. Some addons can make gameplay more enjoyable and more effective though. You can also go to trade site directly every time and input all mods manually - that is in-game solution offered by ggg right now. Otherwise hard to say where your stance comes from, but to me it is pure ignorance. Maybe you eventually come to conclusion that it would not hurt to actually step up your game and make use of all tools available, even those third party ones. I promise you that awakened trade would improve your gaming experience a lot. But ofc have fun whatever you decide to do. Last edited by BadAssTom#2893 on Feb 20, 2026, 6:39:23 AM

Just adding in case you don't know how to proceed - just find link on github, download installer, install and run it. It is as simple as that. Runs in background. It is very easy to use, but needs bit of practice to make most out of it. Sometimes you need to visit trade site too to make sure all is correct, but in most cases it works like charm for quick price check.

I would rather if the game required no addons to make things easier. Improving QOL is one of the things GGG does and this is one of those things they could rather easily implement in the game now that in-game trade exists.
