Kingsmarch / Tree is NOT IT
|
Hi GGG
Im sure you've had this a lot, but just adding my voice. Please, please, putting loot in places that are one step removed from actually killing monsters is NOT IT!!! It's fine for a league, but having Kingsmarch shipping/mapping and the Breach Tree go core is NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! You're invalidating so many early farms. Being guaranteed mirror shards end of week 1 is really really dumb. Making essences/fossils/fractures totally worthless is bad, bad, bad. Nerfing ground loot and putting it in external systems is anti-fun. I know you guys are in tune with the game and will do right by it in the long run. Just want to really stress that these mechanics going and staying core feels like a really bad decisions for the game being fun and healthy in the long term. Thanks! +1, I agree.

Kingsmarch is awesome currency generator, but it is changing the game into a idle game. Make the loot better, reward players for slaying monsters, and get rid of Kingsmarch.
This is a lot from a player whose main income the past leagues has been Kingsmarch. |

+1, they are losing the way

+1, was literally saying the same today on reddit about Kingsmarch and mirror shards.

i was surprised they kept kingsmarch.
especially shipping the way it is. they should remove crop generation.. or move that into mapping same as the ores. and ores should give the better loot from shipping anyway... but crops are the ones giving currency rofl which only take tons of afk gold. |

I love sending divine shipments to Kalguur for only 10,000 blue zanth though, ever since I found out how easy that is last league. I'm now gonna pour all of my gold into doing that always because its ez free divines and who doesn't love free rewards?
Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

When everyone gets free easy rewards then its worth less. Overabundance is a killer in an economically based game.

I think Kingsmarch is fine if to fully utilize it requires the proper opportunity cost.
the issue I have with it is that it's essentially a pure bonus to mapping, as there's simply no way to maintain the gold cost if you're doing out of map content. what I think they should do is, firstly, normalize gold drops. isn't gold meant to be the 'necessary friction' to asynchronous trading and also limit abuse? if you can run a map and with a full party pull up to 3mill gold from it I'm not sure how it's meant to accomplish anything of the sort? THEN create scarabs (and add passive nodes to the tree) that add an extra xxx% of gold gained to "Kingsmarch Reserves", a pool of gold that cannot be withdrawn and only used to pay for Kingsmarch services. NOW it's an actual league mechanic that comes at the cost of other opportunities and is no longer in some cases undermining them. (solved). BONUS ROUND create ways to scale and modify out of map content. Last edited by Dak01#7115 on Feb 21, 2026, 11:56:02 PM

I prefer to avoid writing a wall of text explaining all the QoL that Kalguur brings because people tend to be hard-locked in their opinions anyway. But, to try to be brief: - Kalguur is a huge QoL improvement for controller players. Browsing ground loot like a dog is a nightmare for a controller player as the "cursor" gets stuck on NPCs and such things constantly. - Kalguur is not that strong. It's just convenient. I can get 6L enchanted gear from Heist. I got a 6mod mace this league in Heist with great T3-T1 mods (not a single bad mod like "attribute requirements) and basically completed the Atlas with it. - A lot of mechanics are obsolete because they're just outperformed by new leagues. Removing Kalguur won't fix this. Blight is fun but less profitable than yellow lifeforce farming or T17 farming. But thanks to people who have fun with it others can buy oils for anointments and never touch Blight. - There's always HCSSF. I don't care about the tree though. |
