movement-skills abuse everywhere. add all of them CD or add charges to limit

I don't see a problem with movement skills - without gear and socket investment, they are all very limited in their uses. Particularly the spammable movement skills.

Whirling blades and leap slam require a lot of attack speed. Shield charge is a damage skill and in any terrain that's not an open field is extremely cumbersom. Lightning warp requires 1-2 support gems and a lot of fast cast. Alt frostblink requires a very very large amount of cast speed.

I guess I don't understand the complaint. Supported skills should be useful. And the movement skills that only require 1 socket to "fast-blink" already have cool-down or charge consumption - the ones that don't have a cooldown need investment, which costs gear slots and/or support gems.

Then dont use them if you dont like that for whatever reason. I dont understand why you would care about what other people use. This is not Fortnite, you are literally not impacted by the skills other people use. And no i doubt that an 11 challenge privated account, has any business in "competing" in the market. So why do you feel the need to change these things?
when i first started playing poe in open beta my initial character was extremely fast, i could move fast and i could endlessly whirling blades around. it felt great, i really loved the speed of my character and the way i could rapidly reposition, it added an element of skill and control D3 didnt feel like it had.


i do dislike how fast this game has got, i like the idea of ruthless but for me when they killed moveskills in ruthless they killed the idea of ruthless.


for me its not about my character being able to spam fast moveskills, the problem i have is that in 2013 i needed to use that to reposition and avoid danger because i couldnt hit the entire screen with my aoe damage and kill it in 1 or 2 clicks. i was using cleave, it was aoe but very limited range compared to today in poe and it took multiple hits to kill most monsters, rares took a decent amount of work you had to fight them.


its the combo of the aoe, the damage and the character speed that removed almost all gameplay from so many builds in poe1. my take is that i could always move fast and i really enjoyed that, i think the game feels better when i feel im in control of my character and i can exercise skill in the moment. so i put the blame at the door of aoe and damage being too high, to me thats what has changed. if you remove them you are back to skill based gameplay, if you remove the speed and keep those theres still no skill, its still just press button screen blows up its just more tedious moving around and picking up the loot, getting to the next monsters etc. it would just make the game feel bad.

i get that theres an element where limited movement can bring in more judgement in how you approach fights cause you cant get out if you get too far in. so there is that and i appreciate thats a valid vector.

I also don't want POE1 bullshit in POE2, vice versa.

Pointless to give triple-A game companies any sort of constructive criticism without getting put on probation (or banned). GGG's downfall is drawing near.
Ruthless technically has about a third of PoE1's movement skill gems.
(Also the unique to it Quickstep. Which cannot be supported, but IS affected by things like Fleetfoot !)
(Also, somehow, still has Flicker Strike.)
(And it also even has Dash and Flame Dash (and technically Lightning Warp) available, from specific items.)

What « separate server » ?
If you mean that Ruthless leagues are indeed leagues, then by that logic none of the 7 non-Ruthless leagues aside the Challenge Bench Trade SoftCore league « are playing PoE1 » either ?
(Not to mention all the races, events and private leagues that are their own separate leagues too and don't bring as many people either.)
