How do I obtain and then craft these gloves in Std ?
|
I'm looking to get a pair of gloves that I can then craft into the final version. I know I will need to essence spam till I get T1/T2 values for at least the resistances and life.
I've been told I need to look for the best Evasion/ES base possible (and that I can afford) but I am not sure what that means or how to create a search for it on trade. I can figure out how to look for the fractured Int but what filters do I use to get the best ES/EV base (or close enough) ? ![]() Oh and which essences to go for T1/T2 would be best ? Unsure you want pure evasion or pure int base or a mix.....just choose the bottom one with the highest base defence of your choice as desired base and have a item level 86 or more for crafting and if you insist to have fractured mod then it is another story to acquire the base (which is way harder to find people to sell it) This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. the end game base of dex-int are Infiltrator Mitts and Phantom Mitts anyway
Assassin's Mitts and Murder Mitts with desired fractured mod may also worth a bit This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?

Thanks for the tips. To get the best base I would look at what the evasion an energy shield values are just underneath the quality I assume ?

Just look at the name of the base. In this case its phantom mitts.
As to crafting them it doesnt look very hard unless that increased ev/es mod is actually important. At a quick glance you could: 1. buy fractured base 2. Essence spam the cheapest resist essence until double t1 resists 3. harvest change a resist type to another if needed 4. if prefixes full use eldritch annul to kill a prefix 5. craft suffixes cannot be changes 6. harvest reforge life until t1 life (this will be the most expensive part if you are unlucky as you must craft suffixes cannot be changed with every failure) 7. If prefixes ever fill from step 6 use eldritch annul to kill prefix 8. craft inc damage while leeching There is probably a better way but this will get you there for what shouldnt be to much currency in standard. " Got that - I'm looking for a ilvl86 item that I can craft. The mitts don't have to have the Eater and Searing Exarch as those are crafted yes ? |
|
"You only need 84 for those mods. If you go higher the odds will be slightly worse. If you want Spell Suppression suffix however you should aim at 85+. Use https://www.craftofexile.com/ or some other suitable site to look up these things. Edit: The Eater/Exarch implicts can be crafted, yes. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle! " Thank you - this is a great step-by-step for someone not very familiar with crafting. Now I just need to get an actual base in std ... |

No worries. The craftofexile website listed above is a good thing to get familiar with too. It allows you to practice the craft beforehand so you can make sure you dont screw up.
And after a little more thought you could also use eldritch currency for the prefixes instead of suffixes cannot be changed and reforge life. It would also be better for getting the inc es/eva mod if you really wanted it. Doing it this way craft a prefix like mana that you dont want and double exalt slam or eldritch exalt slam (whichever is cheaper) and eldritch annul or eldritch chaos if you miss. Continue until you have two mods that you like and then craft the damage while leeching. Standard prices can be weird though so balance the cost of the eldritch currency vs the suffixes cannot be changed method. Or if you want the practice just try both and get a feel for how they work. |

" You can practise the craft first on craftofexile ? Never knew that. Pricing in Std is always weird ;-) I'm used to that. There is a pair of gloves that look like they'll do - more than I'd like to pay, less than I expected. ![]() I really only need to replace the Energy shield stat but I'm guessing there is no way to specifically target that ? |
